Thanks for the youtube link.
at 4:41, it show snapdragon 618 instead of 650
Other than regconise the SimCard slot to compare between MTK and SD 650, from the youtube link, it use AIDA64 apps installed and show up all the details, is there any way to view from firmware/software?

install CPUZ....it will tell which version is yours. Well the box should be able to tell as well. CPUZ to double confirm.

Just got my Redmi Note 3 3GB Ram version today, I'll be doing comparison with my Huawei Mate 8

Design:
The design is very very identical and similar to the Mate 8, maybe its because of where the fingerpring sensor was placed and both is made from the same materials, however the RN3 back is much more slippery.

Screen:
This is entirely up to user preferance, the RN3 provides a more "white" and "bright" display, however the Mate 8 provides a more "warm" color and "yellowish" look. In clarity wise, they're barely noticeable as well, and I would say RN3 looked more natural , and Mate 8 looked more vibrant.

OS:
With the MIUI, its literally the same thing as EMUI found in the Huawei Mate 8, I would say these 2 phones are the most identical phone I've ever seen so far from 2 different company. However the only difference in OS is the placing of settings, animation, and many minor stuffs.

Speed&Smoothness:
As both of the phone are very very identical, I can barely tell the difference in smoothness, but Mate 8 is noticeably faster in every task, I think its due to the Kirin 950 chip compared to the MTK chip. However animation flows and smoothness are about the same and I can't tell the difference.

Camera:
Surprisingly for the price, the RN3 camera was able to match my Mate 8 and has better autofocus than my Mate 8, but in general like colors and vibrant, Mate 8 is still better, however in terms of details, I can't tell much difference as I'm no camera expert tongue.gif

Speaker:
Mate 8 all the way! The RN3 speaker quality is way far from the Mate 8, in terms of volume, clarity, and even bass! I guess this is one of the drawbacks for the low pricing.

Fingerprint scanner:
Both provides a very good spot for you to unlock your phone through fingerprint, the RN3 is slightly easier to unlock due to the fact that its a smaller phone compared to the Mate 8, however in terms of unlock speed, Mate 8 wins just by a tad of milli seconds, maybe like 0.3-0.5 seconds? Not really a drawback as its not that noticeable anyway.

Fast Charging:
For some reason, my RN3 doesn't support fast charging, search that up and some said it support and some said it doesn't, anyway from a normal consumer view, this is a drawback for me as there's no fast charging as default.

So in conclusion is that, if you want a cheaper alternative to other phones out there, this is a good phone as it has a good fingerpring scanner, good camera, smooth OS, and its just slightly behind the Mate 8. It kind of makes the Mate 8 unworth as so much price gap, yet so little difference.

Kirin 950 is a tier above Mediatek Helio X10 so performance gap is expected.

Very small difference though, RN3 managed to put up a good fight, will comment on the battery life tomorrow!
