Rm 6. Need some skill to blow. Normal sound. Haha. But the design is nice. I like the shape only. And super cheap.

Yup, going to do my EFR + Rescue end of August while my wife going to upgrade her Scuba Diver to Open Water. Both with B&J Tioman.

Bought 1 fundives package with Panorama Divers (Perhentian), and 3 more fundives package with Turtlebay Divers (Perhentian). In return, got lots of freebies and goodies (t-shirts, pointer, mesh bag, 'swiss' knife, water bottle, and some other small item). Goodies from Turtlebay really a stealer.

Lastly, the black box and el-cheapo prescription mask for me.

Rm1800 inclusive 4d/3n accomodation and return boat transfer. Not really that cheap, but considering that they also offer good price for my wife upgrade OW and she never been to Tioman before.

so i saw that too but while the freebies are good the onsite instructors didnt really instill much confidence in me for my given case so i went to tenggol scuba101 instead, although out of curiosity are most instructors attached to a certain dive company/school/resort or do they make their rounds as walk in instructors to various dive shops?

As far as i know, one divemaster usually will stays with one dive centre throughout the season and might switch to other places the next season, as i heard from several dm that i met and knew personally. I couldnt comment for instructors though as i dont really know many of them close enough.

Turtlebay is actually the earliest dive centre in Perhentian Island, and has quite large inventory in term of equipments, dms and dive boats. But i do agree the personnels that attended their booth today weren't that appealing.

the only gripe i have with tenggol scuba101 is that their resort package, resorts dont have wifi or internet which means being off the grid, something that i dont really want for somewhat safety sake although im told its not completely remote that simple cellular doesnt work which isnt all that bad somewhat laugh.gif

other than that i should be happy with it icon_rolleyes.gif
