Episode I: The Goon Menace

For those who are slightly new to the community, some background info about me - I've been making videos using my Xbox and my Capture Card for more than a year. Why? Well I simply enjoy making videos. They entertain people and are fun to watch. Sometimes they capture unforgettable moments in the game. For the past year, I've only been making Halo 2 videos. Gears of War is the 2nd game to be "video'ed" by me

Gears was the next major game after Halo 2. Lots of players, which made it easy to gather footage. Gears is also really fun to play This video is basically a collection of some of the cool, funny, and weird moments captured while playing GoW multiplayer matches. This video isn't designed to prove anything. It's not meant to tell anyone that I'm good at GoW or anything. It is simply showcasing the fun we have while playing GoW multiplayer.

I'm sorry about the filesize and filehost. If it's too slow for you, just leave it overnight or something. As far as I know, the speed is bareable. If you have MSN, add me and I'll Folder Share it with you.

This is the second Episode of the GoW montages I had enough footage to make a second video, so why not? Again, showcases the pure fun and enjoyment of GoW featuring some people that weren't in the previous video

How you do dat with the capture card if u dont me asking? Looks cool.

Hook up the capture card to your PC, and capture away. Most instructions are included with the Cap Card itself

I think Mobi is using composite capture card. If he were to start using some other type of capture method, it'll probably look alot nicer...but then it costs alot more also ler...

If you are talking about HD quality, that equipment will be on the thousand mark...the cheapest one i have come by i think cost about RM5000.

I could be wrong though...

I have helped you upload EP1 on the FTP. EP2 will be there in half hour time. Coz i'm downloading it rite now. The upload here to the FTP is 3.0MB/s dam fast.

It's a Composite/S-Video capture card and I capture thru S-Video. The reason the quality is only average is because of compression. Also since I had to reinstall my USB drivers, for some reason my capture settings reverted back to default. I don't remember my best settings anymore. And plus since I only capture as a hobby I didnt bother buying a super-high-def-ultra-resolution card

Mobi, time to get Decklink HD capture card. Can capture in full HD hehehe.

haha timing not chun lor. It really depends on me on live at the right time and UK connection to Malaysia like mood swing, sometimes up sometimes down.

Mobi, try downloading huffyuv codec. The final result is 99.9999% identical to uncompress video (because it's call loseless compression?) but half the size.
After that compress it to mp4 or some HD version ler...if you free la.


LOL...RM5000 and above? Maybe it's time mobi start setting up a paypal account for donation...

sory mobi, i uploaded but the 300seconds timeout really annoying la, uploaded in folder "Goons of war", then dammit kena disconnect. upload to mobiustudios, half way uploading ep1, then disconnect again. i fed up then go to class.

Zeliant used God Mode version 2.0 "ON" and survived the boomshot blast!! ..but I remembered from my POV he jumped away before the shot hit him

Fuzzyness is caused by the cap card settings. Trying to fix it. Could be my TV output as well though

Thanks for all the positive feedback from everyone. I started recording again on Friday and I've got about enough to make Episode III. But since everyone is so pro nowadays, it might be less funny due to the absence of noobish mishaps Ah we'll see how it goes
