looting a dead guy that died from natural causes (kicked by his horse/ killed by wild animals) will decrease your honor whereas looting a bunch of dead guys you murdered in cold blood doesn't decrease honor

Do not attempt to press triangle to rest in town or nearby other people

saw a prompt on screen, telling me stamina is low, can rest by pressing triangle to recover some stamina

press triangle, end up strangling some innocent stranger standing beside me, next thing you know you're involved in a mass street brawl with half of town people involve, then a bounty on your head for unarm assault

quite a few accident facepalm moments due to the shared control buttons, and had to reload the saves few times bcos of that.
It's like I'm trying my best to play as a good guy, but the control is trying their best to turn me into a bad guy

but still enjoying the game, still in chapter 2 wondering around the wilderness with minimal progress in the main quest, and still kept ambushed by other gang

that guy is just a NPC without any quest, you can rob him to get a letter from Gavin to know more about what happened between them

at first encounter I wasted some time as I spend a while helping him to search the surrounding area for Gavin
then I saw him again in the wild, no one around so I decided to rob him for wasting my time

my quest count shows 18, but I can only see up to 9
is it a bug?

cos most of them never played the RDR1 before, and expecting something like GTAV, or at least like GTA in the west

If a slow burn type of movie isn't your cup of tea, then RDR2 aint it also

I've gotten the game for more than a week already, playing daily and I'm still in chapter 2 only

but if you wanna rush thru the whole game via the main mission, you can, but you will missed a lot of interesting stuff, especially most of the side quest are pretty interesting

no fast travel is gonna be a factor to play the game or not

try not to use the glitch at your first run,

money should be scarce and hard to come by, using the glitch you can instant buy any things that's already unlock, and upgrade the camp fully at one go

it spoils the fun, and the story

I'll only try the glitch on my second run, if they haven't patch it out

rescued a random injured dude yesterday, which requires me to drop my legendary pelt to hitch ride him to nearest town doc, and doc saw off his arm right in front of me! then threw the saw off arm into a bucket like a piece of trash

for those who still thinking of getting this game, if you like Witcher or Skyrim, which involves lots of exploration at your own pace, you should get it, but if you expecting a fast pace game like Spiderman, or AC with lots of fighting, forget about it

random event, I encounter him when I'm travelling from Annesburg to St Denis to drop off a legendary pelt, and to craft trinkets
bump into him at north of St Denis, thank god we'll never lost the legendary pelt, so I choose to see his story and dump the pelt at roadside


those random events/encounters actually are highlight of the game
spotted a scary giant snake hanging on a tree, thought can hunt it or trigger an event, manatau it's for show only
and got spiked & robbed by a pair of incestuous sibling and got dumped in a shallow grave, and had my revenge later when return to that house
found a UFO cult house also
every game session sure got new things to discover

the ori control scheme is not to my liking, change it to fps style

Lots of murderous wildlife there!

basically got murdered by an Elk!

Was hunting for Elk to craft me satchels,
Was scouting on a high cliff with me binoculars
then BAM! an Elk rammed me from behind, flew down the cliff and died

seriously one of the WTF facepalm yet funny moment of this game


Also hunting for cougars is damn stressful & fun
you saw a red dot right in front of you on your map,
but you can't see it, even with eagle eye activated,
then you thought maybe it's just a rattle snake,
you turn around, then you got pounce from behind by a cougar
either you're dead or you end up with a poor pelt after you blast it with your shotgun in panic

My PS4Pro is noticeable a lot more quieter after I replace the thermal paste, about 50% reduction in noise, what thermal paste you used, PS4 Pro also? I'm using Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut
now I'm having more peaceful time playing RDR2 even without using headphones

and yeah, the volume in RDR2 is a lot more lower compared to other games, almost burst my eardrum when switching to other game using the same vol for RDR2, didn't realized I've set it to the max

My previous fat one was loud also, my Pro was loud as well, thought it was normal until I heard my friends' unit, confirmed mine is loud
If wanna upgrade to Pro, go for the latest model, RDR2 bundle or the CUH-7200 model, most said it's the quieter one

mine previously still sounds ok on 1080p mode, it's unbearable when it's on 4K mode
now after replacing the thermal paste, 4K mode is quiet, normal play I can hardly notice the fan now

after opening up my Pro, Sony PS4 manufacturer really did a poor job of applying the thermal paste on CPU, mine was only 80% covered, and ori paste quality I think is pretty poor as well, some part on the CPU already cake up, while some still runny
