But that's the thing rite. We keep saying its to trap dirt but why do we want to trap anything? We wash our cars every week anyway so just go and clean. Why do we need to buy a mat to trap anything for 1 week? Trap and do what? biggrin.gif

This is the same as the petrol companies telling ppl RON97 is good and more power. Same crap the accessories shop tell new car owners to entice them to buy tis and tat. That's why there are so many car accessories shops like mushrooms everywhere.

The worse time to go shopping for car accessories is immediately after u get yor new car. The hype and the euphoria of a new car is at its max. Give it 3 months and u wont bother buying tis n that.

I think we should focus on what's important rather than waste money on unnecessary stuff. At the end of the day, our cars are already a loss the day it leaves the showroom.

I think we need to rid ourselves of this B segment mentality of buying car mats.  biggrin.gif

I plan to when I get my car.

Just buy cheap laptop screen protector from Daiso, measure and cut to the size

Also plan to get Yi Dash Cam which comes with lane departure warning. A good add on to the missing Lane Watch

Sounds like a good idea. Thanks.

Zero discount and freebies? sad.gif

I'm waiting for MCY car plate... so not in a rush at the moment, maybe I can consider Kah Motor in this case. Thanks for the input!
I'm banana btw, so I relied on Google Translate haha!

https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=531817...022&toSite=main <-- this is the one I bookmarked, there are more out there.

These rubber mat looks interesting hehe, might grab one too. Especially the glow in dark cause the red/blue one looks a bit cheapo -.- though I would prefer just the black mat.

those who got the car and wish to put into owner list, please tag me with the color + model

anyway, do you guys getting the side step protection?
*
Side step close door cannot see the scratches liaw ma hehe. I am getting the door protection film tho.

Wonder why here not so much interest on getting the touchscreen protector film. So far only see 1 or 2 ppl keen on getting. Scratches from accidental wipes have to stick with it for long long time yo. Best I have seen from reviews is from Photodon, but the postage to Malaysia cost more than the screen protector zzz.

Hi all, just noticed the area around the rear tyre is made off carpet material like inside the boot. Coz the front is the normal plastic material. Is it the same with the rest of the civic owners here?

Better for the environment since Civic is Euro 4 compliant engine / emissions - and RON95 is still Euro 2, RON97 is already Euro 4M. As I said previously, it's not about the RON / octane rating. It's about the sulphur content 500ppm vs 50ppm.
Yesterday I brought some of my family jalan2, 5 adults in the car. Went to 2 shopping malls and numerous speed bumps within the shopping malls, the shopping mall basement entrance & exit ramp (always kena when I drove my FD2 with Mugen front lip even when I drive alone) as well as numerous speed bumps along state roads. I didn't drive that slow, just normal speed bump speeds and the Civic never scraped the bumps or ramp at all.

So it passed with flying colours biggrin.gif
