Took my car untill reached home then straightaway checked the tire pressure. Mine was 46 psi and it quite noisy before i deflated back to recommended 32psi. After that tire noise significantly reduced. Feels like conti car.

that's because it can 'fly'

A Vios tailgate me this afternoon at Plus Highway as I'm cruising at 150km below 3K rpm. Wonder if he tekan the pedal sampai berdiri dalam kereta. My vios need to rev untill 5k to get the same speed. Haha.

Hi Guys, i encountered a problem with my walk away lock last nite at the petrol station.

Was standing near to the fuel door with the remote in my pocket while filling up my car, halfway thru it some how the walkaway lock trigger (i guess its bcoz it could not detect the remote is within the 2m radius) and the alarm triggered as well..had to press the unlock button to stop the alarm..and it happened again after a few seconds..the only door not closed is the fuel door ...and my wife is sitting in the car..

Anyone experienced this before?? any idea whats the prob here?? hmm.gif  hmm.gif

Anyway i find that the sound of the alarm is very 'gentle'..no 1 at the petrol station seems to notice that the alarm had been triggered  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

It actually ultrasonic sensor. Better to leave your key fob in if someone in your car.

Perhaps you should know that Civic X owners up there in Thailand have successfully retrofitted TCP LED headlights into their lower spec Civics.

There are even sellers making them LED headlamps available for purchase. About RM3k after converting from Thai Baht. But obviously doing so would void HM's warranty.

You can consider getting the mid spec TC, wait for 5 years for the warranty to run out, and by then our shores would be flocking with these accessories, where you can retrofit the headlamps.

A few things you should consider about the TC-P tho:

1. When I test drove it, I found out that the touchscreen head unit isn't exactly the fastest in terms of loading times. Because the TC-P has the dual-zone aircond (unlike the other two variants with single zone), the left rotating knob on the aircond controls is now passenger temperature, instead of fan speed on the other 2 variants. This means that if you want to change fan speed, you'll have to first press the "Climate" button, wait for about 1 second (because of the loading time on the screen) only then you may change the fan speed by sliding your finger across the screen. It needs a little getting used to, as we drivers have accustomed to changing fan speeds without even looking at the controls. In simpler terms, changing fan speed in the 1.8S and the mid spec TC is a one-step process, while the TC-P is a two-step process, as the feature has been relegated to the screen.

2. IMHO, with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, the integrated GPS on the TC-P might experience some under-usage. Not an issue, but do keep in mind that the license only lasts for 5 years (or so I've heard).

3. Otherwise, it's pretty much the same with the other 2 specs. Didn't get to try the headlamps as I test drove it during broad daylight.

I was thinking the same regarding intergrated garmin, but after using it for a while, I found the gps is really handful and quite accurate too plus it has intergrated turn by turn display on instrument panel. I never car for waze since i drove this car. Usually after plug in, i left the phone at small compartment behind the gear knob for Apple Carplay.

According to the trip computer it was 92km/h. But on the highway I tried to keep it between 110-115km/h. Tried to keep it between 1800rpm - 2100rpm too.
I'm only doing this once bro. Kenot tahan kena cucuk by every f*ckin Vios FD FB Audi BMW VW buggers. I'm gonna drive like usual when I come back to JB tongue.gif

If anybody is wondering:

1. I didn't use Econ mode
2. Didn't use cruise control, right foot control all the way.
3. D mode all the way without using paddle shifters
4. I used Shell V-Power 97 (Green handle).
*
I found this weird but during traffic jammed using econ mode this car did saved some fuels but if you are cruising 110kmh on highway normal mode seems to be better at saving fuels. Will test again tomorrow on my way back from Kedah to KL.

You missed my point.

I said that having a feeling of being planted while driving on a straight road should not automatically be equated to being stable. Most cars would be planted somewhat on a straight road. The problem occurs during emergency evasive manoeuvring at higher speeds which is where conti's like BMW, Audi, etc will have that added bit of stability.

Try taking corners in a F10 at 150kmph vs a Civic at that same speed. You will notice the difference. Of course there are many factors that come into play with the type of tyres used amongst the most influential factors. Stability control systems have their limits and at very high speeds, it's generally useless if ure out of control.

Also u need to understand crash ratings. The comparison only works when all cars are impacted at around 64kmph. For example, a small compact car getting a 5 star frontal crash rating doesn't equate to a BMW/Merc getting the same rating. There is a clause in the crash tests which state that frontal crash test ratings should be compared only among vehicles of similar weight.

Just drive safely. But saying vios has the same planted feeling is exaggerated. I drove vios too and it doesn't have planted feeling at all as this civic feels.

Turbo owners, anything we should be concerned of?

Just did my first 1000km service at Bandar Sri Damansara. Asked SC so far no overheat issue reported. My car got panel gap at driver side door but easily fixed at SC.
