You might be rite; but a laptop cannot make phone call; cannot do GPS; cannot do SMS, Video Calls... LOL... Just kidding...

I don't mind about any laptop coz my 3 year old Inspiron 9400 still stands tall with the latest Core 2 Duo... Coz it has 7800 Nvidia... Hehhehe...

Back to topic... If RM3100; I will wait a while till it gets to RM2800-2900...

You still can only answer one at the time. smile.gif

I had it happen once, and I had to let the other 2 ring until they reached the voicemail stage. tongue.gif

LOL... I did experience this; I answered one; and let the two other ring; then end call on 1st phone; get the 2nd out from my pocket and tried to answer it; then it transfered the call to my 3rd phone which is in the other pocket. Kelam kabut... LOL

If you really want a 5MP phone; LG already have it. But I guess; ppl in this thread are not only waiting for a 5MP phone. I guess we all waiting for a new kind of technology cramped phone... LOL...

Yeah, anyone has it? Share it man....

BTW, I guess N92 won't be around until Telco implement DVB, rite...

I am wondering how will the GPS work in Malaysia? Have to subscribe to any service , etc?
*
From what I read; the maps are free. But you need to pay for the Voice Navigation. I think it is time-based fee. One week, one month, one year...

BTW, Nokia already announced that they will be releasing GPS Software for theor phones. By end 2007, all Nokia phones will have GPS. They already bought gate5 GPS company and the software is now awaiting to be release to the public. If you are not using N95, u can still use the software. Coupled the software with GPS receiver via bluetooth; and you will get a N95-almost-GPS-Phone with the extra gadget... LOL

Oh I see, thanks for the detail explanation but I'll pass on the subscription. Kind of waste of money for me since my gf has this GPS device, dunno where she get or bought but its free and the direction and voice is ALSO free. Hell even the map is damn updated, lorong lorong also got.

GOOD NEWS TO ALL NOKIA N-SERIES. GET ANY BT GPSr; COUPLED IT WITH UR N-Series PHONES AND USE THE SMART2GO GPS SOFTWARE...

Btw; I am now downloading for my N-series and my WM5 PDA. The software supports Symbian N-series or E-series and PPC, currently... Map dunno yet... May report later on the GPS Software (also used in N95)...

Does Smart2go support local maps?
*
Just tested on my N80 nd N93. Local maps available but some are outdated. Initial location was in UK, but when I paired my Garmin 10x GPSr with the phones; the center display suddenly moved from UK to MY... Then zoomed into my location... Sweet. But again, I live in Kajang/BBBang-I; so the SILK highway was not there; I think the map was taken from Google Maps and simplified into raster images... I am posting the screenshot after this...

Man; how can I upload images here... I am providing a link to my flickr account. So, u guys can view it for a couple of weeks before I erase it...

If you guys really need a GPS-coupled with phone; i wouldn't recommend the N-series. The map for MY in my test with Nokia Map with my BT GPSr and N80 is outdated... And I really mean outdated... My house inn't in the map; the SILK highway isn't there; and I confirmed that the map is based on Google Maps (2005).

I think for Stringfellow; the maps he installed is updated since oversea maps are always updated... The MY maps are OK in certain areas, but in other parts of MY, it isn't especially my area. LOL... I assumed the maps used my Stringfellow are not MY, rite? Since Stringfellow always travels overseas; the maps are awesome... Cannot blame Google for not updating the maps since everyday; Sammy Vellu always add some roads here and there. One minute there is one road, another minute there are four roads at the same place... tongue.gif

I strongly recommend a PPC/WM5 phone/PDA since the maps from local developers using Garmin is absolutely updated weekly. And my best SW for the PPC/WM5 is still Garmin Que/Garmin Mobile XT (3D capable); I tried MapKing 10 but the GUI, the respond, the navigation etc still not as good as Garmin (personally)... And the SW only available for PPC/WM5; that's the main reason I will keep my Softbank X01HT (Dopod 838 Pro variant)...

Wanna get a BT GPSr? If you want to invest something on GPSr; I would strongly suggest Garmin GPSr since the latest Garmin SW (Gamin Mobile XT) is capable of doing navigation in 3D... Other GPSr such as Holux etc is also good but cannot use the Garmin Mobile XT yet (since GPSproxy is not compatible with Garmin Mobile XT)...

The Garmin 10x is available in Low Yat for RM750 or more. If you want it cheaper, buy online or meet a dealer in Seremban (kennytoo from Malsingmaps.com) for RM700 also. I got mine after two days of Garmin release from him when KL was selling at RM1100... LOL...

PM me for his phone number... Sorry for late reply. Went to Perlis for Family member wedding during CNY and man; my Garmin 10x works like a charm with the latest map...

smile.gif thanks for the reply, i just checked, bt gps receiver aint cheap, at least rm 350 and above, that site i went to must be in USD sweat.gif , btw that garmin u bought , does it  comes with MY maps? or do u have to download it from sites like malsing maps, i m worry lar, afterwards spend a few hundred bucks on the receiver only for the downloadable maps not working smile.gif

We are way off topic though... LOL. But anyways, the guy kennytoo from Malsingmaps.com is a Garmin seller in MY. The maps from malsingmaps.com are free and I can guarantee that it will work if you use Garmin Que(with GPSProxy)+non-Garmin GPSr or Garmin Que+Garmin GPSr @ Garmin Mobile XT+Garmin GPSr. I had been spending RM1000 just to explore GPS and really satisfied with it. My first GPSr is Holux GPSlim236 then this Garmin 10x. Not to worry; ppl from malsingmaps.com are helpful or you can even ask me... The price for the 10x just went down... RM650 now... From Kennytoo...

It will work... But bear in mind; you also need a PPC/WM5 device with BT... You can also use the SmartcomGPS for Nokia Symbian Phones but you cannot use it for navigating from A to B...
