Does anyone out there know that whether Sentra N16 is OBDII, OBD2 or EOBD compatible? I would like to buy a computer scanning tool which only support these 3 formats. Anyone know this please give me some advices. Thank you.

N16 should be running on OBDII - Onboard Diagnostic System (codes can be read/erased by a variety of readers, ie Actron)

ACTRON
nissan consult 2

why u want to buy the tool? its not cheap and u only can scan for error and tune a bit things.
i think better buy a emanage and tune ur AFR to get more power and better FC and emanage would be cheaper a lot than the diagnostic tool. tan chong has the diagnostic tool which u can go there ask them to check for u.

Really arr? I also don't know lar, just saw it and the price is around RM500-RM600, some more can see the fuel economy gauge as well, so can get much better FC lor if follow the economy fuel gauge. Actually what is E-Manage? How to install it and how much does it cost?

No, my one is stock engine and never mod anything. You said 1 bar can drive about 50-60KM, you mean 1 bar or 1 sub bar? This morning I drive to my work place, when reach my work place, already droped one sub bar and I only driven 9km, but quite jam lar. I mostly like pump RM50.00 can drive until around 350km +/- 20km in KL, selangor area plus jam lor. Just some times see the fuel gauge suddenly drop 1 sub bar, not syok already. haha

How about N16 E to F need how much? Is it B14 has a 42L petrol tank while N16 has a 50L petrol tank?

I also don't know lar, just feel that the Sentra fuel guage drop a little bit faster than some other car. Maybe the big fuel guage is only showing RM70 of fuel and so it will drop a little faster kua.

Right gov need to let Malaysian know how to use all the fuel subsidise money since they have reduced the fuel subsidise. Will there even more corruption because of that huge amount of money? I hope gov won't repeat their previous error and mistake.

QUOTE(antidote @ Jun 11 2008, 01:23 AM)
Hi guys, I just bought a 2004 N16 on May 1st, or end of April I think. Been gauging the mileage till now. The thing is like this:

1) 1st tank was giving me only 320km. Er... about RM75 (at 1.92/l)
2) Fren tot me to reset the ECU by plugging out connection to battery for 5 min. then plugged back and start car and idle for 5 min. 2nd tank I got about 420++km also at around RM75++.
3) I was not satisfied whether this way works or not, but heck, I gauge few more tanks, and yes! I got around 400km (driving highway n city jam in KL itself as well)
4) Then also went to service, I flushed out the ATF but I'm not sure what the workshop put into it, he told me it was number 3.. wTH is that??? he says it was something like brake fluid that got dot
3, 4 or 5... I also changed to Shell helix 5W-30 (I think) and then my silencer was changed cos the old one sudah sumbat.. dunno la... After service and change silencer (muffler) then the car very
very lively and responsive. Also air filter was changed, normal one lah...
5) All went well I guess till the last tank that I poured in, I get about 360km only for the same tank of RM75 last time! And this tank i travel most on highway! How come? Any idea??
Any N16 owner that mod a li'l to their car like changing the CAI flow or extractor or decarbo or put in the performance filter? I think by this we can save more fuel...

You have just serviced your car and maybe you need to run another 1 or 2 tanks of fuel, then it will only show you the "true" FC. Another way is reset your ECU once again since you have change the muffler, let the ECU do the job for you. smile.gif

Wow, SR20VE engine, right now the fuel price is too expensive lar and unable to drive this kind of car with this kind of engine liao. I wondering does anyonw sifu got any idea how to reduce the weight of the Nissan Sentra N16, I found N16 is quite heavy compare to other 1.6L car.
