Applied as a Senior/AM level, currently with one of the big 4 in MY smile.gif

I know can request for internal transfer to Sg, but there have been bad experience between MY and SG, the partners here will try not to approve any transfer from MY to SG sad.gif

Then you don't need much tip assuming you're already about 7-10y on the job. You can get your salary expectation in glassdoor as well. Their pay is very structured and pretty much fixed for every corp rank

Wanted to tell you about the horrendous hour of an auditor, but I suppose you'd know that already. I look at the auditor I am working with, everyday looks like a depressed zombie

Im planning to work in singapore since job market here in malaysia like shiat... Send so many resumes via jobstreet and company HR email but no call for interview at all.

Im looking for Quality Management, asst. quality manager, QA exec, only STPM holder, 7plus years experience in quality line.

Any one can recommend tak?

How many resumes exactly? I have instances where I have submitted at lease 2-300 emails/job application before I landed on a job. So how hard did you try?

Btw my landlord has a HDB unit he wants to rent out in Queenstown. Maybe can get around $2000 or slightly lower, nego a bit.

Man I just got the letter today as well. A bit shocked how moving to another bracket changes the amount drastically. From the letter you received from IRAS, there's a column where you can tick "monthly". Send the form back to them and you're good

Cheers

What do you mean annoy them?
He meant send 200 applications to 200 different positions
Not apply for the same position 200 times  doh.gif

Ya man. You apply too many times with one company the recruiter sure straight away shred or delete your application as soon as they see your name.

That being said though, my current job I got after failed 3 times with the same company, for the same role.

first attempt
1. with business mgmt - passed
2. with hiring manager - failed (lack of exp and product knowledge)

second attempt
1. business mgmnt - gave a bye since they liked me from first round
2. with different hiring mgr - failed again because lack of exp and product knowledge.

Feeling a bit like shit, I took a certificate that helped me with my product knowledge. Saw same vacancy popped up again half a year later, applied one last time. I wrote email to the business management said I die die wanna be their corporate slave. This time got a bye again for business management round, and hiring manager still said I don't have any exp within the role, and still needs to polish on the product knowledge. But she appreciates the thick skin attitude.

So, sometimes it's how we carry ourselves under certain circumstances. And also luck.

Hi I am Jen new to this forum! How is Singapore's economy? Heard that it's hard to look for job these year 2016. Hmmmm? Is it true? 😊

I would say for banking is really tough this year. But then again, it was never easy to begin with
your chance of getting a job is definitely 0% if you never try.

Cheers

I agree. There aren't as many openings now as compared to the same time last year. It is hard to get in without a referral.

Did you guys usually apply at their websites or through recruitment firms?
*
All 4 jobs I have gotten are direct application with company. I find it hard to work with recruiters. Mostly zero transparency, and they serve their own and employer agenda with yours being the least important to them. And if you are someone looking to do something different, try something new etc, best recruiters usually dont even entertain you. They wanna look good to the employer and only present the top experienced candidate. Can't blame them for that.
