My employer in Singapore gave me a stack of forms which I have to sign. one of it is credit check on me.
Can i know if I don't sign the credit form, what will happen? Can they access my credit report through ccris since they are not a member, unless going through their subsidiary in malaysia. |

I missed some months of my repayment in ptptn. however, ptptn is not under category of secured loan. so I think i dont have to declare.company wants to do a credit check on you? Just curious. |

QUOTE(Fiona Chin @ Jul 14 2016, 03:13 PM) Missed some repayment should be ok. Check possibility of fraud due to big debt or conflict of interest only. Last time got declare all the assets including overseas for my case, parents', after married husband and baby one also need. If work for gahmen investment arm more die maybe check till ancestors 18 generations. they asked me to declare whether i m in the state of indebtedness. include -" repayments under any secured loan or hire purchase agreement overdue by more than 3 months. " and to my knowledge . A secured loan, is a loan in which the borrower pledges some asset (e.g. a car or property) as collateral for the loan, which then becomes a secured debt owed to the creditor who gives the loan. PTPTN is not under secured. it uses guarantor which are my parents. |

QUOTE(ITzai @ Jul 20 2016, 01:48 PM) Hey all sifus out there, i have a quick question. I attended interview two days ago and now the company offer me job and told me not to hand in resignation letter yet till they successfully process the MOM work permit. They required me to fill in some forms and said will give me offer letter after the permit is approved. I think the process normally will be .. you got the offer letter. signed it return to new company -> tender yr resignation -> subsequently your company will apply for permits. normally permits will be approved. I will have another two job interviews on next Monday. I want to ask if the permit is approved but I got better job offer can I jump out from the first offer? mine case which happened recently. was given verbally and email that I have got the offer from HR A-> i proceed to tender -> HR B gave me a hard copy of offer letter to be signed and return-> HR B apply permits -> Permits got approved after 3 business working days -> HR B ask me to tender, but i told HR i already tender -> HR B ask me to come to singapore for medical to complete the process. HR A and HR B are two different person. |

QUOTE(ITzai @ Jul 20 2016, 02:19 PM) But the HR told me not to tender resignation yet till they get the permit approved then only they hand in their offer letter and I proceed to tender. there are two parts of questions here by you. i will answer them separately. Is this flow normal? What if after the permit is approved for company A and I got better offer from company B, can I cancel the permit and reapply again? Will I get blacklisted? 1. your company is playing safe. They dont want to disappoint you by having you tender and what-if your permits got rejected. then you are trapped. 2. For a company to apply for permits, there are a lot of paper works involved to be submitted to MoM. you probably will leave a bad impression to HR. blacklisted? might be too. 3. my question to you. What company is that you apply with? MNC? |

QUOTE(Grajindo @ Jul 25 2016, 11:19 AM) I've just received my IPA today. Just some questions about medical check-up. What is IPA?1. How long normally will it take for the report to be done? 2. Is it a norm for company to cover the check-up expenses? The company did not offer me but should I ask them? 3. Any recommendation of which clinic to go? |

QUOTE(Ultimaweapon @ Jul 25 2016, 11:55 AM) In-Principal Approval My EP was approved . But I did not received IPA. Why is that?Is a letter stating that your pass has been approved. Inside it contains various information such as name, passport, company, FIN, pass duration, salary etc. IPA is useful as it is the main reference for various things including banks, rental, mobile etc. before working in SG. |

QUOTE(shawnmy @ Jul 30 2016, 01:29 AM) Do you manage to get Work Permit convert to E Pass ? I'm having the same dilemma as well. Company already told me upfront the EP pass approval is very tough at the moment. So that why they apply Work permit instead of EP. if it doesn't affect my salary..i don't mind though. I think your company is bs you. What you mean tough ? As long as u and your company meet all the requirements. You will get e pass |
