QUOTE(icemanfx @ Jun 16 2020, 11:51 AM) t.p is dynamic, move with market sentiment and almost always a step beyond/ahead of current trend. if one find local valuation is ridiculous, what about tsla? I am having opposite thoughts with yours. I think most analysis are behind current trend, instead of ahead.

QUOTE(ChAOoz @ Jun 24 2020, 08:59 AM) Of all the tech stock buffett never buys, berkshire hit the jackpot with apple. With their own eco system and app store and now own semicon chips, this company has the biggest moat in tech. 30% commissions for all in app purchases is crazy. Not sure regulators will stop them or not. if services revenue increases another 1 fold (in maybe 3-5 years), it will be on par with iphone's revenue. When that happens, market valuations may move towards PE 40x range (43% increase from today's 28x) because of more sustainability as well as close to doubled in profit margin when comparing services vs iphone. Not to forget it's huge cash flow flying in everyday, which support a very long term consistency on share buyback activities. I won't be surprise to see Apple stock hit 600 in few years time.

QUOTE(ozak @ Jun 26 2020, 09:53 PM) Anyone is day trader here? What is the annually profit as day trader? Traders who don't mind investing long term are usually long term winners. "Day traders"....i would agree, are mostly losers in long term. The difference between the above two is this: one with options to trade (or hold), and one without (die die loss money also must sell).

QUOTE(Raymond_ACCA @ Jul 2 2020, 09:19 PM) Good jobs report. Good to end the week on a high note hehe. ya....read that. I'd say, any news also depends on market trend and sentiment. Now is a bull market, the market just ignore bad news and cheers good news. Typical though.

ya, tesla rally has been crazy. So for those who own the stock, maybe it's best to set a sell target on the downside and not the upside, since only god knows where the peak would be. Congrats on those who owns it currently, i missed the train while set myself a buy target below 450 but failed to practiced it because of fear.

QUOTE(bellion @ Jul 9 2020, 02:18 PM) As what the market values it which is the current stock price. Tesla should be valued at which the current stock price is? I must say this mindset is quite dangerous. However, i think you have more strategy than simply this, i guess. You said last quarter eps was 9 sen. Consider in coming 1 year, eps grows 10 fold! Super growth engine. 0.09*4*10 = 3.6, then PE will be 386x at current price of 1392. After that, consider the following 3 years with eps cagr of 100% (maintain super high growth), PE will be 193->96.5->48.25x. Meaning, with above explosive growth, PE will still be as high as 48x by FY24.

There are a lot of short term winners but tiny few of long term winners. Why? Because most of those short terms winners loss until they can never come back to stock trading and just disappeared. Perhaps, they turn to casino after huge loss in stock market because you can always bring just few hundreds to bet in a casino. This post has been edited by yok70: Jul 13 2020, 10:13 AM
