WTI ending the day around 43.30

Tomorrow is going to be interesting as shorts tend to cover going into the weekend but that is not guaranteed.

I think if they can pump this up to 44, but cannot get above 44.85, then it will likely roll back down.
But, if they keep pumping and goes above $45, well.. likely, it is off to the races again, next target: $49/$50.

Remember? These greedy OPEC guys want oil to get to $60 by next year. Don't fight them.

what i read, the long:shorts ratio has gone from 1.7 yesterday to 1.15 today.

there was short covering, but now more new shorts; both long and shorts are at record levels - a highly speculative game!

ya, think so. if it can break thru 44.50 thereabout, likely to continue higher.


we will see tonight - after china data, usa retail sales data, rig count.

i am wondering this sudden rise in crude price is real ?

Needs to get above 46 and then the trend will be known.

40 is a huge support too.

Right now it is more in a trading range.

it's more perception and traders at work, imo.

Yeah, usually no reaction but this time there is slight move downwards.

you can see that it was "parked at 44.50 waiting for the report just before 1am.

if rig count was +3 or -3, the bulls would have pushed it to 45 within 5 seconds!

still, i think it will close above 44 tonight.
