in normal times, such news will have oil bulls pushing wti up by $1.
not today... US oil rig count falls in 1st decline in 4 weeks, down 7 to 330: Baker Hughes |

QUOTE(yok70 @ Jun 25 2016, 03:34 AM) damn....i almost bought uvxy past few days....too bad, didn't hit the button. becos u saw bremain and not brexit?today alone, over 40% profit. i was not convinced of bremain as the politicians and media were overhyping "how bad it will be for you if brexit". the carnage continued until end of the day, will likely continue next week. had put some money on dwti the day before, even early last night. took 1/2 profit, still holding 1/2. stocks and crude are not going anywhere anytime soon, imo. QUOTE(danmooncake @ Jun 26 2016, 11:55 PM) Sell signals are flashing all over the places.... tomorrow will be interesting to see if any more bears come out to play after the big papa bear on Friday. volatility will rule for a few days.i think i may nitpick some stocks here and there tonight. oil/energy... think will wait, likely soften further as oil bulls grapple with brexit shock. |

QUOTE(yok70 @ Jun 27 2016, 06:29 PM) 43.70 is a long way off, if it comes.watch 46.69. if it breaks that, it will go down further. tonight, think i will find chance to short again - dow futures, europe looking very sick... the interesting thing is, as for some weeks/months now... wti rises in the day only to dive before nymex opens. man, if u trade long in asian-europe, u get f'ed everyday! |

QUOTE(danmooncake @ Jun 28 2016, 03:34 AM) now almost 47!dow futures +1xx. after 2 days of carnage, should recover a bit tonight. but i think will be bumpy, need to tread carefully. i did pick up bits of my fav counters last night. but got out of dwti and staying out dwti/uwti - this pair is too hot for now! |

what to expect tonight?
.. europe +2% .. dow futures +200 .. gdp slide halted, usd weakens .. talk of major central banks loosening (again) soon .. fed now expected to cut rate instead of hike! .. wti rise 2% to >47 oil bulls back in play... norwegian oil workers going on strike. would be a disaster to have held dwti overnight. |

QUOTE(mikehwy @ Jun 29 2016, 12:33 AM) ya, wti is fragile...up and then lost almost 2% in one hour, now recovering pretty fast too. i thought it was going back to 46 but now, it looks like going to 48. api data after closing, eia data tmrw - the weekly game coming up. if dow close around +200, tmrw should see a continued recovery. i'm starting to feel a little bullish. QUOTE(yok70 @ Jun 29 2016, 02:55 AM) the media and investment houses are influential.now, many are saying brexit is overblown, brexit may not happen after all... and talk of rate cut instead of hike. plus this: Oil futures climbed in electronic trading Tuesday after the American Petroleum Institute reported that U.S. crude supplies fell by 3.9 million barrels for the week ended June 24, according to sources. Analysts polled by S&P Global Platts forecast a fall of 2.4 million barrels for crude inventories. wti now 48.30, maybe going 50 soon. tonight looking like another bull...?! |

QUOTE(mikehwy @ Jun 29 2016, 01:27 PM) Volatile volatile. Crude was crawling upwards thru out. Me too feeling bit bullish. Game on....for uwti?? i'm already in.price not so good - it was hard because it was a big V from start to finish. but think can still get some profit tonight. only thing is whether eia will report +3.9mil vs api -3.9mil. |
