My overall portfolio YTD is still up 8% after the recent crash, still can take another 5% hit. I will be still ok.

50:50... tech might still be down

I'm investor, not trader. So I hold most of the my stocks no matter what. I still have stocks from 15 years ago and doing very well. Only sell the weakest among.

Moomoo will provide advance compensation for the overnight tradings that faced cancellation. Just not sure how they compensate the traders. Are other brokerages giving any compensation?

Unlikely. In fact, the futures looks really good. But I almost get into SMCI last night. Phew...

So this is what I heard, many traders bought the dips during the overnight session when the market crashed and the transactions went through and was confirmed. Later the day when the market open the stocks recovered from the dips and some of those traders sold what they bought to take profit. What happened was that the buy transactions was cancelled after that and now the traders are turning from making profit to become short selling. Many are making losses and not able to recoup. I guess that's what Moomoo meant about the abnormal short selling. At least Moomoo is taking some responsibilities to sort things out.

2nd half is always the pain. The market opened with some moderate gain but turned ugly in the 2nd half.

Pattern we are seeing these days like stock opens-up good and around 12 noon ( when Asian traders goes to bed) sell off starts . That's been the pattern for last two weeks.

Now we are breaking that pattern. Asian kena blood-sucked dry by the Wall St already perhaps.

Those bought during the dip last week at $90 are happy now. Ya 30% in a week! You never know it will crash or rocket up. But earnings soon, got to be careful.
