The American Petroleum Institute reported an 800,000-barrel draw in crude oil inventories for the week to July 22. Strategic inventories at Cushing, Oklahoma, however, were up by 1.4 million barrels. WTI plunged to a three-month low today, before the release of the API figures, to US$42.83 a barrel. Brent crude was trading at US$44.78 at 4.30pm EDT.

won't go below 41.60 so easily.

it will rebound at the slightest news of... fire, hurricanes, heavy snow...

and strikes, opec speak, non-opec speak, bombs...

u name it, anything will do.

now, wait and see when and how the oil bulls will come back.

in the absence more negative news, can hold.

but if iea says "more time needed to rebalance" or "oil traders now holding even more crude in tankers" or "russia incr output"... that will be really bad.

ya... still looking for a hold after >2.5% loss.

41.80 seems getting some support.

i expect it to return close to 42 by 2.30am.

and their past behavior says they will flee just before 9.30pm.

so, maybe 41.50-41.60 at opening later.

if it breaks that, i think it will go 40.xx by tmrw.
