You took profits on this trade?

Lately US market intraday volatility is too high.

My day trades keep hitting the preset cut lost price point for me to sell and later the price to move at the correct direction by close, which is gut wrenching.

Trading US equities is similar to trading crypto now.

I must be an outlier for holding shorts for longer periods then...

My philosophy is that I am not one to take popular / trending stocks like NVidea, Netflix, etc...

I'm always scanning for undervalued and under-rated hidden gemstones...

can ask which platform you use to trade? or are there any good one?

Nvidia bottomed at 86.61 dropping ~42% a share back in April and has now rallied ~100% without much in the way of pull-backs.

The last big run was last April (2024) where the stock rallied 86.17% before ultimately dropping 16% as a mere short-term pull-back before sustaining a full correction of 35.57%.

The run before that started in January 2024 and ended in March 2024. There, Nvidia rallied ~100% from 48 a share up to 97.36 before ultimately dropping 22.37% in the March 2024 correction.

Runs like these tend to precede a big retracement.
QQQ has rallied close to 40% climb from April bottom, second largest rally behind covid rally.
today marks the 68th day of rally from april 7th.
Go back 20years of data, 70days is the average rally period before qqq sustaining a correction.

Last night nvda closed with a spinning top (not very telling but might indicate reversal)

QQQ on the other closed with a clear-cut black reversal bar. This is a very telling sign of topping ahead of a correction during late rally stage.

I expect a 10-14% correction in the QQQ in the very near-term
& a 22-37% correction in nvda

Damn I almost forgot about UNH. Luckily you mention it again. Basically sitting on 0.618 golden Fibonacci.

It's meant to be a long hold, 6 months to 1 year min.
Fundamentally, they are oversold so if you have holding power they will bounce back, no worries about bankruptcy. They are still profit making, but it is an industry downturn. The good news is they are still paying a dividend, I may just hold on to them for years even actually.

Damn, I waited on sidelines too long. Feeling FOMO now. Is it still worth it?

Thing is that it takes me so long to save up RM10k that I tend to hesitate committing.
