tried out archer over the past day, i cannot believe how hopeless this rocket launcher is.
take seconds to lock on, then can still miss if the titan just moves a little bit to the side. unbelievable.

switched to the Thunderbolt an hour ago, and got a titan kill just seconds later.

might as well disable the lock-on if there's still a pretty damn huge chance of the rocket missing it's target!

Thunderbolt is powerful , direct hit deal extra damage , just AOE of the ball is huge and it a titan at least 3 times.
i got lucky kill a pilot with it.

Yeah that Archer pretty useless. I just run the mgl for my anti Titan. Used to love thunderbolt. Which is awesome for multiple Titans.

given how slow the thunderbolt (ball) moves, you'd think it would be one of the hardest weapons to use (great damage to compensate for the slow projectile movement) but the AOE is so big it's actually easier to use than the archer that actually has a lock on!

something just occurred to me..in using the archer, i always lock on to the target, fire the rocket and then immediately hide.
could this be the reason?
do you have to maintain a lock on to actually follow your target?

just occurred to me cos i just remembered some games where there are lock on missiles you actually have to follow the target to maintain the lock.
any break results in the missiles going elsewhere

good thing is , AOE and slow speed mean more hit , bad thing is 1 shot only , but adding fast reload help increase DPS.
archer damage is good , hope got faster lockon or blind fire mode.

archer can fire multiple shot?
how leh? normally i just lock on and fire. didn't notice 6 or 8 shot.

I have been using archer for quite some time and maybe I can help share some reviews:

Anti Titan Weapon: Archer's accuracy.

1. Enemies action: If the enemy titan uses dash, pretty much most Anti Titan Weapon (ATW) will tend to miss. The only variable is that other weapon (like MGL, thunderbolt, charge rifle) accuracy can be improved further with player’s response.

2. Types of titan: Versus low mobility titans like Legion, Scorch, Ion, your archer missiles will pretty much hit it's target with high good hit percentage. But versus high mobility titans like Northstar or Ronin, our hit rate will be slightly lower. Especially when they are already moving in full momentum or turning a corner.

3. Distance: In close to middle range + guided missiles, your archer chances to hit is almost 95% or almost guaranteed. If the players are aiming from 6 blocks away, to be fair most AT weapon will tend to miss fire an already moving target. (or lower accurancy hit %)

4. Damage: Relevant because if you want higher damage, we will have to sacrifice accuracy (Game balance) Archer per shot has the highest damage among its peer. (one shot to deliver 90% damage to a critical titan, compare to 4 shots from MGL and multiple shots from other ATW) When timed correctly, an experienced archer user can plan the Bounty kill steal with the last shot in pilot form even from enemy titan. Some have even last hit multiple evacuating ships with an archer.

5. Weapon design (Fire & forget): Unlike thunderbolt or charge fire, this is a fire and forget weapon. You do not have to continue to lock down or expose yourself to land the hit. Thus delivers the guerilla warfare approach.

6. Safety/risk management: Due to its F&F system, you tend to be out of enemies line of sight when reloading for a second shot. (unlike charge shot where if you wish to deliver the similar damage per second in compare to archer, you will have to constant charge and shot while being exposed 80% of the time)

I think fast response players like Mgsrulz and others will find archer less prefered to use than other ATW, mainly because you are used to the additional perks coming from your reflex. For casual players like myself and a few others, i think archer is a good choice to engage enemy titan. I mean, aiming a titan with a auto tracking rocket launcher coupled with that tick sound while locking down that enemy titan with the circle focusing in before releasing a missile projectile that travels in full force impacting the titan to deliver that explosive damage, common...

Finally got my groove back a few more rounds later though and managed to add 6-7 executions. Another 15 to get the phase shift execution.

Would get more but melee rosak. Was behind this guy trying to execute but just punching air..... But man. I love angel city now!

yesterday damn lol, one of my games, the guy i think he is so smart hiding in titan dome and shooting me, i think he didnt realise, my titan can also go into his dome and punch his ass. sure regret didnt naik titan earlier hahaha.

luckily tripoint avenged me in the early stages of the match

have you unlocked the phase shift execution yet?
executions and terminations are addictive, i'm in the same boat as you..even if the enemy is staring me dead in the face, i'll try to melee sometimes

yeah, tripoint is natsu..but i dont think he posts in lyn much anymore.

didnt unlock phase shift yet. as just found out like this weekend need to hold down the R3 button to execute.... so i had like almost 300 melee kills and like 10 executions... hahah. but now its at 35-36 so will get there soon.

next time if you got spot. invite plis dah lah we are FB buddies but never played together. hahaha.
