I'm getting gtx 1070 and i would like to change my monitor which is 60hz 1ms TN panel. I already do my research some said that 144hz good for fps gaming (all im doing is gaming no video editting). But after seen certain experiment in youtube, modt people cant even differentiate 60hz and 144 or even 165hz. Mostly i play star wars battlefront. Prefer only 1080p monitor as my gtx1070 isnt juicy enough for 100fps+ gaming. My budget is arround rm1500. Hope any sifus here can help me figure out my needs.😄

QUOTE(gabriel.l @ Jun 11 2016, 06:56 AM) Have u experienced the 144hz monitor yet? If no, u should try and demo it to feel the difference. Watching youtube review doesn't do it's justice at all tbh. i wish i could try demo, but its not that simple. i dont have any friends having such monitor or even willing to spend much on computer. and the experiment in youtube is like blind test experiment. like for example random monitor (60hz or 144hz) and most ppl guess 60hz monitor are 144hz monitor.

QUOTE(Vannus @ Jun 11 2016, 10:06 AM) PG278Q 1ms input delay and 165hz gsync 2k reso, badass, except sacrifice a litte color accuracy and viewing angle for better input lag. Also tn panel doesnt have screen edge bleeding or glowing, whatever it is. Sometimes i feel like just buying a fast tn instead of ips It is out of my budget. Current monitor in my mind are VG248QE = RM1549 and XL2411Z =rm1199 at lingloong. Both arent g-sync enabled.

QUOTE(terence_nwb @ Jun 11 2016, 10:29 AM) If you are able to increase your budget to 1.9k, then you can get Acer Predator XB241H even though it is a little overpriced, 1080p 144Hz TN with GSync. If cannot top up then 1.5k can get you a normal 1080p 144Hz TN without GSync (need around 1k only). If you want IPS then sorry to tell you that all non-gaming grade IPS monitors still stuck on 60Hz. Is g-sync worth the run? It just like adding extra 100$ tu the budget. Cant i just use v-sync enabled? Or there are greatly noticeable different from from g-sync.

QUOTE(richard912 @ Jun 11 2016, 03:35 PM) From 60hz to 144Hz, you will notice a significant improvement especially when playing FPS. From 144Hz to 165Hz, the difference will hardly be noticeable. As you are intending to buy a GTX1070, it makes better sense to get a monitor that supports G-sync. As for the monitor's panel, TN will be your best bet given your budget. Additionally, you will also be limited to 1080p resolution. BenQXL2411Z or Acer XB240H should fit into your budget do correct me. Benq XL2411Z (rm1199) doesnt support G-sync while Acer XB240H (RM999) support g-sync

okey i have made the conclusion. i will go with the 144hz monitor. The problem would be whether i want to go with gsync or normal 144hz monitor.
heres list of entry lvl 144hz ASUS VG248QE = RM1549 BENQ XL2411Z = RM1199
while 144hz (with gsync enabled) XB241H (GSync) = RM1899 AOC G2460PG= IDK the price cant find seller here.
is there any cheaper version of 144hz monitor? that comes with Display Port support
