i suggest put a owner list. at least it help ppl to ask the right ppl the note book they have

for buyer so they can direct ask advice from owner of the notebook.

next benefit we can see majority buy which brand and model

most of the people here do recommendation might not even own the notebook so their advice are based on spec or hear say and not actual experience or hands on.

i not say user cannot give comment but let say someone want to buy dell xps 15 , i know you will say go to specify thread but you need to ask who owns what but here you list all out and i can personally pm or know those comment own which notebook so we can direct a more specify questions to the owner for a more specific answer

of course build desktop is better 3k Desktop vs 3K notebook if compare. I am carrying 2.6kg everywhere everyday.

buy 1 ultrabook for travel and 1 desktop for gaming

most budgeted notebook comes with 4gb ram. U can add another 4gb or 8gb its quite cheap about RM100 to RM150 only for 4gb

let me tell u i got K501 so K401 should be the similar. Without ssd it sux very slow bootup and not responsive. After i put SSD it flies
