Budget: ~3k or below
Must have: 14", 1080p screen, 256GB SSD, core i5 or better, 4GB RAM or better
Good to have: Dedicated graphics card, thin body

Looking at Lenovo U41-70 (Last time i bought 2 before, but kinda outdated... any new ones to replace this?)

It's kinda hard to find 256GB SSD at this price point...

Looking at past recommendations here, it usually is intel cpu. Amd apu not good?

Preferred Brand - Dell, Acer, or any well known reliable brands
Budget - Around RM3k-RM4k
Usage - Mid/High-setting gaming (CSGO and latest RPG Games), programming, and maybe some photo/video editing on the side
4. Prefer
- Any screen size
- Battery life probably won't matter since I'd charge it all the time
- Weight maybe around 2kg or less, I still need to bring it around with me
- Don't matter what OS it has, even if it's DOS
- SSD if possible
Currently thinking of these brands:
Dell 7559-30414G-DOS-FHD - around RM3k+ and I can slowly upgrade it's RAM and SSD when I have the money, which is nice

Illegear Z5 - around RM4k+ which can be customized beforehand, but it seems they don't have any stock for their GC currently

Or should I wait for better releases in the upcoming months since I heard Nvidia Pascal is coming for laptops, but I'm afraid the price might be more than I'm able to afford

if it's not worth the price compared to what the current laptops offer then i'd probably go for either the dell or illegear

Is it worth it to wait for new mobile gpus? Just the low end though.

Typically how long after the release of the desktop gpu for the mobile version to come out?

Preferred - Any which has decent warranty service in the UK
Budget - Sub 3k
Usage - student stuff. Minimal gaming (at most Maple only)
Prefer - Light, long battery life, decent cooling (without additional coolers)

I've seen the Acer Aspire E5 and R5 series, they look OK also, but I think the dedicated GPU NOT necessary lah.

If non-Dell? Have not had any good experience with Dell's cooling

just a dumb question:

anyone can advise about comparison of graphic card for GT940, GTX940, GT950, GTX950.

As i understand from some sales person from the store,
GTX is better GT.
So the best graphic will be GTX950, GTX940, then GT 950 and GT 940.

Is this correct?

Reason of asking as i mentioned that i might need to do some 3D modelling and he recommended GTX graphic card as GT graphic card might not be able to handle the heavy usage.
Anyone can verify all these?

Cant google direct comparison between GT and GTX. Mostly i can find is GTX xx vs GTX xx.. which the higher the number, the better it is..
Or simply i am too dumb in googling.

Hi guys, been doing some research on ultrabook and now narrow down to these 2 options.

HP Envy 13 - i5 6200u, 8gb ram, 256gb ssd
Asus Zenbook UX305UA - i5 6200u, 8gb ram, 256gb ssd

Both cost <rm4k so it fits my budget. Only remaining thing i want to know more is the ownership experience of both laptops and also quality of customer service/technical support (in case of laptop issues).

Ya coz carry this around so prefer ultrabook. Was checking out HP's FB post, some complains on after sales support there but not sure if that paints the bigger picture so thought i ask around here also. For asus i dont see any feedback for service be it good/bad.
