My budget is RM3000.
I need a recommendation on a gaming laptop (Any brand that is NOT Acer).
I don't care about looks, screen resolution or anything. I want solely on best performance and/or battery life that my budget can afford.

Thanks!

Not to say heavy, but once in awhile will use it. Need something that boot up windows real quick and fast when open applications such as outlook, microsoft words etc. That's the reason why i said SSD is a must. Thinking to get Dell XPS3 but god, so expensive.

1. Because of brand satisfaction, this purchase will be my 4th thinkpad

2. Because im not familiar with other brand.

3. Im outdated cos previous thinkpad is so durable, i only change a laptop between 3 to 5 yrs. So everytime i try catch up when buy. Btw laptop u recommend earlier comes with intel graphic u mentioned?
*
Xps come wif gtx 960m
M5510 use quadro m1100

Pls check out new thinkpad quality first.. no longer the thinkpad of our time de.. Lenovo fully in charge of the manufacturing process , not IBM de.. T.T

Can recommend which one better? ASUS GL552V-XDM044T or Dell 7559 i5? Pros and cons?
*
Inspiron pro - better aftersales, on-site service, slightly more lasting hardware, gtx 960m

Con - dim screen, DDR 3L ram

Asus pro - ddr4 ram, cheaper price, i7

Con - top 1 or 2 worst aftersales in this region, gtx 950m , lower GPU.

Both units IPS screen r nothing to talk about.. if got money better send to do color calibration..

Hi LYN sifus, having a dilemma here so need some advice:
- 14" or smaller FHD (prefer 13")
- 4gb ram or more
- NO optical drive (nid to cut down weight)
- Budget around RM 3000

So far, have these choices:
- asus zenbook ux305 CA
- asus k401ub
- lenovo ideapad 710s
- acer aspire s13
- lenovo ideapad 500s

Personally, it's for college in business course stuff, but I will use it for entertainment and light gaming ( civilisation v or Insurgency, so requirements not really that high? Btw, insurgency fans come add me please, my steam name same as this LYN acc name)

Also, just curious, but is there any noticeable pros and cons between different brands? Was under the impression like asus has good build quality but poor service, acer laptops feel a bit wonky/not durable, lenovo laptops bluescreen a lot etc etc

Re posted? Add oso inspiron 7359 i5 variant.

Yeah, just wanted to get more opinions from more people. Btw, thanks for your suggestion again!

I've check the Inspiron 7349 you recommended, seems like a good choice as well. But are convertibles like this durable or practical? Never really used one so no idea 😅

Would suggest u be extra kful during the first few flip.. got client carelessly snap it.. u need to make it flat first then only turn.. the hinge need warm up..
