Due to recent additional in laws in my family, ayam dad thinking of buying 7 seater mpv so everyone can be in the same car when we go travel together. Currently my dad drive 1996 kancil 660 only. more people more syiok to chit chat during travel. It's family bonding session kan.

So he ask me to go to kedai to survey the mpv but ayam don't have time yet. So ayam do online survey saje dulu. ayam ada suka sama 2015 Vellfire and Alpard tapi what are actually the difference between this two peti ais mpv?

senang saja... mau recon tadak warranty ka mau baru ada warranty?

Most important thing is TCO..Total cost of ownership... ( installment + services +wear & tear part + tyre )

aku pakai estima recon, tapi antar servis kat toyota toyotsu sc.... agak mahal tapi berbaloi.

If new, like Hyundai Starex, maxus G10 and Ssanyong Stavic berbaloi.. warranty ada eventhough Korea n Chinese.

UMW Toyota Alphard dan estima harga overkill.... basic model tapi warranty ada. Tapi tunggu masuk 2016 Alphard dan Vellfire model lepas raya.....huhu...harga mungkin 400K

if you talk about the latest version, the front design is different, and Alphard uses solid color rear lights, while Vellfire uses transparent rear lights.

interior is the same, except 3.5 is different from 2.5.

because driver used to driving kancil will have hard time driving such big car?

I know both got 2.5L it just Vellfire very high spec is on 3.5L. We aim for the 2.5L only.

the 2.5L is fabric seat while 3.5 is leather, and the gear console is full piece on the 3.5 while 2.5 middle area is empty.

I tend to agree with this

Vellfire and Alphard are the same basically, only difference is Vellfire is "sport" version while Alphard is "executive" version.

Minor difference on exterior, but the rest are same.

Go check how high vellfire clearance.
If you can live with 2" clearance from a large mpv that's supposed to go everywhere then ok loh.

when you say sampan, obviously because it's tuned for comfort, both Estima & Alphard/Vellfire uses Van platform.

you want stability & comfort get Mercedes R Class, but it only has 4 doors.

you want better handling, Honda Odyssey is a good option.

Elgrand will drive like Alphard because it's tuned for comfort.

Innova/Avanza is just like Exora.

Nissan Serina is abit like Estima, less space but better drive.

you don't expect a van to drive as good as a car.

vellfire is the advance version of alphard??? yes?? no?? same chasis and everithing only different front n rear bumper design...some interior oso change a bit la...

I suggest you to test drive those two elephant first.

alphard drive like sampan. that is based on my experience ( owned it for 3 years ) . estima is a bit better. but starex got better handling and more sturdy.

maintenance wise just like any other toyota cars.

mine is recond. even when I bought my acv30 brand new last time I don't bother to send to SC ( that time toyota SC sucks )

just a normal maintenance lah. engine oil auto oil that kind of stuff. no complicated stuff compared to conti cars. basically owning a toyota is ok lah overall. just that the drive is kinda boring and bland . all parts you can buy from outside and let your trusted mechanic do it. heck, even my UDM also I send to my personal mechanic.

Wow, our company driver also told me the same thing. Starex is more driver friendly.

yes, the sampan DNA is in the toyota cars.

and yes plenty of them with titanium balls drive at highways @ 160km/h and above with these elephants

my BIL's company got one starex and we occasionally use it for some short ride to KLIA.much more stable. but it is a kimchi car lah.

Where there's a will, there's a way. Just recently I saw a Velfire with full sport rims + body kit + full set UR bar.

ts.... you should make a list of what you want from the mpv... then make a list of mpv that fit the class e.g vellfire, alphard, starex, elgrand, stavic, elysion etc etc.

Go test drive every1 of the candidates. then compare and decide at the end of the exercise.
