Alienfighter and I bought a SE K800i (Midland set) from Clareen last month, just right after Christmas, I received a PM from Alienfighter yesterday, he asked me to check the battery of my SE K800i because he suspect that our battery might have been swapped with a non-ori one. Of course, we made comparisons with another fellow member, Everdying, he's using a Midland set as well and we also compared our BST-33 battery with this this thread here, BST-37 Ori & Non-Ori Discussion  and we're puzzled that our battery looked not only different from Everdying's battery, our battery looked exactly like the AP battery as discussed in the BST-37 Ori & Non-Ori thread (compare with the pictures below and you'll know what I'm saying). The battery is of course brand new and it is not faulty but I guess we're a little upset if we bought a Midland set but we are getting an AP battery. I'm not saying or accusing Clareen of swapping the battery but would like her to clarify this matter with her supplier. I know you guys will ask us to take our battery to SE's service centre to verify whether the battery is genuine or not, we'll do so maybe around tomorrow or at our convenience as everybody is working but from the photos uploaded here, I guess it's pretty clear that something fishy is going on.

Alienfighter had other problems besides this but I guess I won't disclose that on behalf of him but I'll inform him that I've posted the battery thingy here. Well, I have bought three handphones from Clareen so far, all the deal went alright and smoothly, I just want your attention regarding this matter, that's all. If your supplier is found guilty for swapping original batteries with AP ones, then we can lodge a report with KPDN and have the supplier proscecuted as it's a serious offence.

I guess the pictures uploaded here are self-explanatory. I know Clareen went to Japan for her business trip but I hope that she'll give me, Alienfighter and other affected parties a satisfactory explanation. She should be back by now so I'll just wait for her to explain this.

Thanks for bringing this up sunauto. I checked my k800i just now, also midland set bought from Clareen. Indeed, the battery is AP like what you have posted up there. Would like an explanation as well.

Alienfighter, you forgot to mention one thing, your phone's IMEI doesn't match with the one on the box. That's also an important issue because you bought a Midland set and by right, everything should match exactly.

damn. i also bought a phone from clareen and i check my battery with yours and it is the same. you said the battery which you post the picture up there is AP set original or fake one? i bought original phone lah so should be given a original battery right? sigh..

alienfighter, don't ever forget about your call times too. don't be too carried away by just one problem...you have a few infact.

oops. sorry man. i am using the W810i but the battery has the same model right? if yes then i think it is fake one gua.

If you don't mind, can you post the pictures of your battery here? Honestly, Battery C doesn't look original to me because of the surface of the plastic and the finishing details, it's shabby to me, definitely not an ori battery but can be passed as a Grade A fake battery. I have an original BST-15 battery and I can tell that the built quality isn't like this.

For now, I'm not really concerned about the battery etc as I already paid for it and I've got them and have been using them. To be honest, I didn't really bother to check if they were original or not.

But in your case, I understand where you're coming from as you paid for an original and you'd expect to get your money's worth.

Come to think of it - do we even know now which of the 2 types is original and fake? I guess the only way is for someone to verify with the official Sony Ericsson centre because there seems to be alot of confusion here. Even viking who's a seller can't be sure?

basically 'could be original' doesnt mean it is.
refurbished could also explain why alienfighter's IMEI number on the phone and box doesnt match, as well as his weird problem with the total call time.

i never knew from a simple screen protector dispute could end up into a 123 posts dispute. Anyway, as for those who are worried of their battery originality, i stand by vikingw2k the best opinion and proof you can get to certify your batteries are from SonyEricsson Service Centres. Till that assumption is proven with evidence, lets not speculate here and there.

As for Clareen she's just a middle man where she gets the fones from her supplier and sells it. So the main culprit isnt really her but more to the supplier or where she is getting the fones.

Its not suprising that KL being so big there isn't any stock. Like for example W900i when it was in the market had very little stock for Ori and AP sets. It really depends on demand for tat certain model/accessories.

So have you check with SE service centre regarding to this issue?
Regarding to the phone IMEI number i would like you to make some clarification regarding that the imei number is correct and you did see wrong regarding that..
secondly regarding to the caller ringtones it's nothing related to the phone am i right?

If you dissatisfied with the battery kindly bring it to the nearest SE service centre for exchange..

I suggest you bring it along to SE service centre for clarification..

I strongly agree that my supplier did not supplier imitation item.. kindly check your battery with SE service centre as what i mention earlier..

Regarding to the pic i notice battery A and B is not ap nor original.. It's imitation battery.. As what i mention earlier there is no such ap battery there is only imitation battery.. i'm not pretty sure whether battery c is come with ap set or original set as ap and original set battery is the same..

Instead of creating more doubt and making own assumption, why not paying a visit to the nearest SESC for clarification

1. she deals with phones for profit , so you expect her to get 1 set midland k800 just to prove to you that its original ? thne after that ? if its original or fake also , who's going to absorb the costs of your curiosity ?
2. u waste your time compare with other people for what ? why didnt you just go to the service centre straight to check ?

I really dont understand whats worong with you buyers noawadays, item receive ok la. Finish la. If the battery have midland sticker how the seller knows it fake ka? stolen ka? Come from the sky ka? Do you think they have the time to check all and notice all the details?

If so concern about quality, just go to big SE shop and tapau from them, like me.
Finish and end story, I didnt see any wrong doings. Stop being a baby la.

I've been reading this post since 10PM..and i fount out clareen has to read about 8 pages before she reply in here..there are replies with suspicious(not good replies) which effected her mind so please be understanding...so as u, i saw u a bit unhappy..

i just hope this problem can be solve nicely...
