QUOTE(sunauto @ Jan 19 2007, 10:47 AM)
Alienfighter and I bought a SE K800i (Midland set) from Clareen last month, just right after Christmas, I received a PM from Alienfighter yesterday, he asked me to check the battery of my SE K800i because he suspect that our battery might have been swapped with a non-ori one. Of course, we made comparisons with another fellow member, Everdying, he's using a Midland set as well and we also compared our BST-33 battery with this this thread here, BST-37 Ori & Non-Ori Discussion  and we're puzzled that our battery looked not only different from Everdying's battery, our battery looked exactly like the AP battery as discussed in the BST-37 Ori & Non-Ori thread (compare with the pictures below and you'll know what I'm saying). My battery is exactly the same as Alienfighter so I'll just upload one set of pictures here from my set, if you wanna see the pictures that he has uploaded, please go to our Sony Ericsson K790i/K800i V5 Discussion Thread

The battery is of course brand new and it is not faulty but I guess we're a little upset if we bought a Midland set but we are getting an AP battery. I'm not saying or accusing Clareen of swapping the battery but would like her to clarify this matter with her supplier. I know you guys will ask us to take our battery to SE's service centre to verify whether the battery is genuine or not, we'll do so maybe around tomorrow or at our convenience as everybody is working but from the photos uploaded here, I guess it's pretty clear that something fishy is going on.

Alienfighter had other problems besides this but I guess I won't disclose that on behalf of him but I'll inform him that I've posted the battery thingy here. Well, I have bought three handphones from Clareen so far, all the deal went alright and smoothly, I just want your attention regarding this matter, that's all. If your supplier is found guilty for swapping original batteries with AP ones, then we can lodge a report with KPDN and have the supplier proscecuted as it's a serious offence.

Alright, here are the pictures of our BST-33 battery,

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

I guess the pictures uploaded here are self-explanatory. I know Clareen went to Japan for her business trip but I hope that she'll give me, Alienfighter and other affected parties a satisfactory explanation. She should be back by now so I'll just wait for her to explain this.
*
thanks sunauto to bring up this matter here...
i just wanna do that, but i want to let others k800i users first...

ok, yes i do have the same battery as sunauto, and yes it exactly same as AP battery once we have check n compare it from the thread sunauto mention, and also with other k800i user in K800i v5 thread...
so, we want now, some explaination from her regarding this...
well, i dont want to point my finger on her... n i hope she have better explaination n solution on this...

i also face some problem with my k800i that i bought from clareen...
1.the phone IMEI doesn't match with the box.
2.my total call time seem not normal.
3.the personal caller ringtones not working properly.

QUOTE(suiteng @ Jan 19 2007, 10:53 AM)
Thanks for bringing this up sunauto. I checked my k800i just now, also midland set bought from Clareen. Indeed, the battery is AP like what you have posted up there. Would like an explanation as well.
*
yet, another victim....
we really need some explaination clareen...a.s.a.p

Alienfighter, you forgot to mention one thing, your phone's IMEI doesn't match with the one on the box. That's also an important issue because you bought a Midland set and by right, everything should match exactly.
*
thanks dude... almost forgot bout that...

alienfighter, don't ever forget about your call times too. don't be too carried away by just one problem...you have a few infact.
*
i never forgot about that...
thanks for the reminder man....

btw, actually, i ask clareen about the call timer once i notice the problem...
and she replied to me that... maybe her supplier test the phone before the phone passed to me.... but.... when the time i ask her... the timer is already 5 hour somethings... after a while... then now i realize that my total call time is automatic multiply... this should be some problem with the phone itself... because i also update my phone to the latest firmware... yet the problem still there...

QUOTE(6GDominator @ Jan 20 2007, 03:33 AM)
oops. sorry man. i am using the W810i but the battery has the same model right? if yes then i think it is fake one gua. sad.gif
*
maybe u can tried to compare ur battery first with other forumers in w820i thread...
if the suspect that ur original midland set using AP battery...
u can copy the compare pic here...
so that everybody can aware of it...

If you don't mind, can you post the pictures of your battery here? Honestly, Battery C doesn't look original to me because of the surface of the plastic and the finishing details, it's shabby to me, definitely not an ori battery but can be passed as a Grade A fake battery. I have an original BST-15 battery and I can tell that the built quality isn't like this.
*
really cant wait to see u port ur original p900i battery
so that we can see the built quality...

QUOTE(Bigfoot-X @ Jan 20 2007, 04:36 AM)
No problem. Will do that once I know where my camera is.

For now, I'm not really concerned about the battery etc as I already paid for it and I've got them and have been using them. To be honest, I didn't really bother to check if they were original or not.

But in your case, I understand where you're coming from as you paid for an original and you'd expect to get your money's worth.

Come to think of it - do we even know now which of the 2 types is original and fake? I guess the only way is for someone to verify with the official Sony Ericsson centre because there seems to be alot of confusion here. Even viking who's a seller can't be sure? rclxub.gif
*
yes...i rather spend extra money bought midland set for the peace of mind...
but now, end up with a lot of problem... somehow, the AP set user dont really face this kind of problem...

i just quote what dreamthief said in the K800 thread.
basically 'could be original' doesnt mean it is.
refurbished could also explain why alienfighter's IMEI number on the phone and box doesnt match, as well as his weird problem with the total call time.
*
please dont tell me that my set is refurbished one....NO..! cry.gif

btw, today already 20jan, still no word from clareen...
after this i'll try to rang IXSUN to check wheter they r open today..
if yes... i'll give them a visit...and bring together my whole set in the box...
so that maybe they can verify it....

i never knew from a simple screen protector dispute could end up into a 123 posts dispute. Anyway, as for those who are worried of their battery originality, i stand by vikingw2k the best opinion and proof you can get to certify your batteries are from SonyEricsson Service Centres. Till that assumption is proven with evidence, lets not speculate here and there.

As for Clareen she's just a middle man where she gets the fones from her supplier and sells it. So the main culprit isnt really her but more to the supplier or where she is getting the fones.

Its not suprising that KL being so big there isn't any stock. Like for example W900i when it was in the market had very little stock for Ori and AP sets. It really depends on demand for tat certain model/accessories.

yes, we are not assume that clareen is the culprit here....
i know it the supplier dirty work somehow..
but at least... we still need to know from her, how she can solve this problem..
if she can manage to settle this problem smoothly, i dont see why i will deal with her again someday....
but if this problem couldnt settle as what we want...the best for us...
i can see that, she will really get hard to doing business in LYN anymore...

QUOTE(Clareen @ Jan 20 2007, 08:46 PM)
So have you check with SE service centre regarding to this issue?
Regarding to the phone IMEI number i would like you to make some clarification regarding that the imei number is correct and you did see wrong regarding that..
secondly regarding to the caller ringtones it's nothing related to the phone am i right?
*
1.the IMEI number already settle... that my mistake to overlook the last 2 digits...
so, just forgot about it...
2.the personal ringtone definitely related to the phone... its not caller ringtone service by maxis i talking about... its the personal ringtone in the phone function... its not work.
3.so, u forgot to reply me and give the better explaination on the total call time??.. its happen because the phone problem rite??

QUOTE(Clareen @ Jan 20 2007, 09:09 PM)
If you dissatisfied with the battery kindly bring it to the nearest SE service centre for exchange..

I suggest you bring it along to SE service centre for clarification..

I strongly agree that my supplier did not supplier imitation item.. kindly check your battery with SE service centre as what i mention earlier..
*
so u r want we to take the battery to nearest SESC??..
i really want to do it if i have the time...
even this morning i wish to go and check...
but its holiday... i dunno when i will have time to go check back...

and for u...as our dealer??.. what u do??.. just wait until we give u feedback from the SESC??.. let me suggest u something clareen.... why dont u take 1 midland k800i set with the same battery that we've already post here... and go check with the SESC too... but i prefer u go to midland and check it... b'cuz, the SESC have 3 authorize dealer, so, i dont think that they can clarify the battery is original midland or not... but i do believe that Midland can identify it for sure...

QUOTE(Clareen @ Jan 20 2007, 09:12 PM)
I hope you guys instead of wasting your time to post the picture kindly refer this issue to SE service centre for clarification..

Kindly bring your battery to SE service centre instead of judge by guessing thanks..
*
so now u try to wasting our time to go to SESC?..
we already wasted our time to check it and compare to others midland users, and also to post up the pictures as the prove... and u, just asking us to waste our time some more??

QUOTE(Clareen @ Jan 20 2007, 09:18 PM)
Regarding to the pic i notice battery A and B is not ap nor original.. It's imitation battery.. As what i mention earlier there is no such ap battery there is only imitation battery.. i'm not pretty sure whether battery c is come with ap set or original set as ap and original set battery is the same..

"I hope you guys instead of wasting your time to post the picture kindly refer this issue to SE service centre for clarification.."

Instead of creating more doubt and making own assumption, why not paying a visit to the nearest SESC for clarification

*
why dont u do the same thing??

i know u try to protect ur supplier as well...
but i suggest u to have a look at this k800i thread and compare the battery with ur supplied...

is it same??

1. she deals with phones for profit , so you expect her to get 1 set midland k800 just to prove to you that its original ? thne after that ? if its original or fake also , who's going to absorb the costs of your curiosity ?
2. u waste your time compare with other people for what ? why didnt you just go to the service centre straight to check ?
you answered your own question  smile.gif
*
dear mr zx7177,
could u just stay off from this thread as it not even related to u..
let clareen defend herself... r u have some kind of family relationship with her??..

1.i dont ask her to buy the phone from her supplier.. just borrow mahh... is it too hard to do as she deal with her supplier everyday i guess...
2.because i rather compare it first here than go to SESC and yet, they tell me that my battery is not original midland.... fyi, i really want to to SESC today.

1. but now does she have one midland unit in her hands ? no . if she asks for yours to verify will you give ? no .

2. well , he checked with other midland users BEFORE the holiday
*
1.do u think i want to ask her to go to SESC tonight??.. come on man... if she can deal a new buyer to get the stock before 1pm..as state in her terms and condition... im so sure she can get 1 set of midland k800i before 1pm tomorrow n go check..
come to think about it man.

2.yes, i do check it before the holiday...u know why i check it before i even post in this thread??.. because i dont want too simply accuse her about that matter... i check it first..
so, do u think that SESC just a few walk from my place??...

I really dont understand whats worong with you buyers noawadays, item receive ok la. Finish la. If the battery have midland sticker how the seller knows it fake ka? stolen ka? Come from the sky ka? Do you think they have the time to check all and notice all the details?

If so concern about quality, just go to big SE shop and tapau from them, like me.
Finish and end story, I didnt see any wrong doings. Stop being a baby la.
*
that same goes to the buyer... do u think buyer have that time to check everything on the spot (as i COD with her).... and without any knowledge or info about the battery... do u think i can simply said "hey, this battery is AP one".... of course after gather some info, i realize that not the same as midland original battery.

because i so concern about quality i bought from her midland set..not AP set, but end up with AP battery.... just put urself in my shoes, then u know what i felt.
