OK - since I'm kinda active in the K800i thread, thought I would share my experience here too. My experience is similar to what Shezzar faced. No communication or rather in my case, it was not regular.

As what Shezzar mentioned, if she could reply in her own thread, why not spend some time to reply his PM.

The reason I went to her was because of her reputation and good feedback.

Here's what happened:

Date: Sometime back in December 2006
Time: Late night/early morning - I reach home about 2am after work.

I had sms-ed her to get a quote for the price of the AP K800i which she promptly replied.

I remember it was a Friday night when I was speaking to Clareen online on MSN. I was checking the price of the K800i with her. She told me the price was RM X for an AP set with free 64 MB M2.

I agreed with the price and asked her if I could get the phone that weekend. She told me she was going outstation on Sunday, if I wanted it that weekend, I'd have to go to Lowyat to COD. I agreed. Then she said, she will call me around 12pm the following day (Saturday) to tell me if she can get the stock. Again, I agreed.

The next day, I did not receive any calls from her at the agreed time. So I called her. She told me she had not checked with her supplier yet and will call me after 10 mins. I agreed again.

She called me back and told me that the price had increased and the memory card was no longer included. She gave me some extra info like the price will continue to go up until New Year.

As the price was still within my budget, I agreed as I wanted the phone desperately. She then told me that she'll personally throw in a 64 MB M2 into the deal for me. Better deal for me. So I confirmed the time to COD at Lowyat and she said between 2:00pm - 2:30pm. It was settled.

I decided to take the LRT and Monorail there. After I left my house, I received a call. It was from her friend (sorry, if you're reading this, I can't remember your name). He told me that Clareen would not be able to make it as she had an emergency and had to go outstation and her phoneline was barred.

As I already went out, I told her friend never mind. I'll arrange to meet her when she gets back.

A few days after that, saw her online - she apologized. Fine. In the meantime, I had also contacted another seller. He told me the same things like order before X pm, you can get the phone the same day. After all the price was agreed upon, I asked him when can we COD. Then no reply from him.

Then I decided to get the phone from Clareen again.

One day, I received an SMS at 5am from her, telling me the price for the AP phone and asking me if I want to COD at PJ or Lowyat. Being awoken from my sleep, I replied and said "I just got your sms, the price was acceptable and I would like to COD in PJ."

She replied back and seemed confused as to why I got the message late. But then now she said can only COD at Lowyat. Again, I agreed and sms-ed her "What time can we COD at Lowyat?"

There was no reply after that. In the end, I gave up on waiting and ended up buying the phone from a shop in SS2.

I thought saving a few extra bucks wasn't worth the hassle I was going through.

I will try to get some pics of my AP battery this weekend and post it up, it looks like the Battery C in the K800i forums. The one with the square white sticker and the little holes on the sides. I just can't find where the digital camera is.

so is clareen price cheaper and is she telling the truth bout the memory card..or ss2 cheaper?

I don't know what do you mean by telling the truth about the free memory card. Maybe the price did not justify giving out a free memory card by her suppliers? I got my set at RM 1250 + the 64MB M2. About RM 30 more than what Clareen was offering at that time but I couldn't wait.

Anyway, when I bought the phone from the shop, they gave me a screen protector and crystal casing as well. Sure, those might not add up to the RM 30 extra, but then I didn't have to wait and I got the phone on the spot. No need to check with supplier etc.

If you don't mind, can you post the pictures of your battery here? Honestly, Battery C doesn't look original to me because of the surface of the plastic and the finishing details, it's shabby to me, definitely not an ori battery but can be passed as a Grade A fake battery. I have an original BST-15 battery and I can tell that the built quality isn't like this.

No problem. Will do that once I know where my camera is.

For now, I'm not really concerned about the battery etc as I already paid for it and I've got them and have been using them. To be honest, I didn't really bother to check if they were original or not.

But in your case, I understand where you're coming from as you paid for an original and you'd expect to get your money's worth.

Come to think of it - do we even know now which of the 2 types is original and fake? I guess the only way is for someone to verify with the official Sony Ericsson centre because there seems to be alot of confusion here. Even viking who's a seller can't be sure? rclxub.gif

The best way, IMHO as i've mentioned earlier is to send to SE Service Centre rather than making your own assumptions whether they are genuine or not. I believe SE Staff will have the last say whether they are genuine or not.
Are you saying that i cant identify which battery out of the 3 which i've posted is genuine or not?
*
vikingw2k - sorry, don't misunderstand. I'm not accusing you of anything. If you see from my posting time it was late and I just came back from work. Maybe I missed out on the line where you said that the photo that you posted was a quiz for us.

Just to clarify - why did you post the pics of the 3 different batteries again? Is it because you want us to help you identify or were you testing us (buyers) to see if we know which is original and which is fake?

Anyway, as promised, I managed to get my digicam and take pics of my battery that came with my AP set.

Here you go.

Alright guys, I just came back from Gurney Plaza, I spent an hour at Charlie Communication, an authorised SE dealer. He opened three brand new boxes of SE K800i (Midland set) and all three boxes came with a BST-33 950 mAh battery with a squarish white sticker (like Bigfoot-X's first picture) and even the wrapping paper is of different quality and colour than mine (not the same as Bigfoot-X's other two pictures though). It's different from Everdying's BST-33 900 mAh battery posted here earlier. He was surprised why my Midland battery was different as I told him I bought my K800i last month and he told me that his stocks were all ordered last month too for the free bluetooth promotion. I said, I really don't know. He asked me to contact Midland directly and check with them because the service centre is not the best place to ask since the battery is distributed by Midland and the service centres are not related to Midland, T-Choice or even Thorus too. The boss even showed me his original BST-33 batteries on display and yes, it's identical to the one which came with the K800i phone. I don't think the Midland battery should look different for the ones sold in Penang and KL mah, right? So, anyone can volunteer to contact Midland, ar? The boss told me that the SE service centres only look at the Midland sticker so really 'sai hei' to go there to ask them. He said if I don't believe, get a Grade 'A' Cap Ayam battery and put a Midland sticker, they'll tell you it's genuine.  doh.gif
I'm just wondering, what do you mean by the wrapping is different? Are you referring to the silver layer around the battery?

Anyway, whilst I was looking at my battery again, I notice that the serial number printing has started to rub off! Now part of my serial number is gone doh.gif

I didn't realise I was scraping against it until the wordings all came off.
