Great. If the pool is only 5 ft, then you no need to learn how to float lo..lol...A club is good..

AHHH. IM A FEMALE AH. i damn shy wei wanna swim with guys wheres all the female swimmers !
*
lol...what's the shy about? No worries la. We're just going for a swim..nothing more. If shy, just wear a tight shorts on top of your swimwear. I've seen many people did that in my condo. Some even wore tight shorts and shirts over their bikinis. There are a lot of female swimmers in my condo, so not to worry.

how to swim with a shirt so heavy XD
I need to get a proper sport bra , when i swim..goshhh.

HAHAHAH okay sure.
mhmm anyone here got msn ?
*
Just buy some 2 piece swim suit. Then on top of it, wear a light T-shirt and a tight short. Doing so would minimize drag. Shouldn't be a problem.

My msn is alucard_my@hotmail.com

Yea man..you're all welcome. We can all learn together. I've never miss a day without swimming. You can all become my guest. Tmn Desa is the taman before MidValley and after Desa Water Park. Pretty easy to find. The condo's name is Danau Idaman. You'll find it if you manage to find the sole Shell station in Tmn Desa. It is just right next to it.

To answer to the cotton and swimming atire thingy, I think it is for hygenic and safety purposes. If you wear cotton shirt, it'll absorb a lot of water and the moment you stop from let's say floating, the whole shirt will come up and will even cover your head. If the pool is deep, you'll panic and might even get into trouble. Also, water resistance is more if you wear cotton shirt. So, best bet is to wear a swim suit.

Well, let me know when are you guys coming. If you come on normal days, you can always catch me doing my front crawl around 6-7pm. Till to date, I'm still waiting for you guys...come come..

My msn id is alucard_my@hotmail.com

Good good..let's learn together. I'm imagining the whole pool full of people splashing to escape from a net...haha...should be funny..

However, I can teach you guys flip turn. Fast way to turn during front crawl.

flip turn, yeah
ive tried many times and fail
please teach us master!  notworthy.gif

front crawl is free style aight?
*
I'm still learning la. Yes, front crawl is freestyle. I normally describe freestyle = apa style pun boleh...hahaha..There is a little trick that makes it all happen in flip turn. I'll show you what it is when we swim together. But be prepared to get some water into your nose (very painful experience) before you master the flip turn. Preliminary advice is to exhale some air out of your nose before you start your sommersault. Else you won't be able to consistently breath air out once you've initiated the flip.

QUOTE(sharil_routh @ Sep 23 2008, 10:38 PM)
woohoo.....  rclxm9.gif u learn by yourself or take a  class before?
*
I learned myself (still very preliminary). No money for a coach... But my kick sucks. Seems to be a bit like breast stroke. I need more practice. Can't seem to stream well as after a 25m struggle, i was gasping for air..hahahaha

QUOTE(rubbermilk @ Sep 24 2008, 03:39 AM)
wah macam macam ah
front crawl ? flip turn ? wahhhh

I know nothing ah hahahahah XD !
*
No worries rubbermilk, can always start by breaststroke and open turn. It is the easiest and most relaxed style and turn.

Yea man..hopefully it'll be fruitful.

Sherly and rubbermilk no need worry, I'll ask my wife to accompany you girls. She's also not good at swimming. At least we can learn together.

Did I attach any picture of my condo's pool? If not, I'll try to snap one.

Weekdays not many people swimming. Weekends are more, but not super crowded till you can't swim. Normally it was never more than 5 people.

Weekends I'm ok. Weekdays - can only make it by 6.30 to 7 pm.

Preferred place - Alu's crib for weekdays, Bangsar Complex and KJ pool for weekends.
*
Anytime is fine by me on my crib as I swim daily from 1800 - 1900 (Extend if you guys come...the more the merrier). For Bangsar or KJ pool, we then have to arrange.

If want to make it after Hari Raya
I may suggest how about on 8th October 2008, time around 6pm onwards and location at Alucard_my's place for a swimming lesson session?

As for other location, may be on the weekend? How you guys think?
*
I'm ok. Even before that also I'm ok. I'll only be away on 1st to 2nd October. Else, I'll be here. biggrin.gif

I really want to learn swimming very badly
Actually also thought of to go for gym, do some workout because each time I'm stress, I put on weight sweat.gif
Especially recently  sweat.gif
*
There's a gym in my condo as well. Whenever I'm free, I'll gym before going for a swim. Normal gym stuffs are in there such as weights and treadmills. Not to mention a few bicycles.

Why so stressed out skysherly? Of work? Studies?

*
Gym ar....don't know if it suit a lady like you. I would rate the cleanliness as 2 out of 5. Gym have to register wo..The guard will need your unit no. if you wanna go. If we go together, then its different. But I hardly gym nowadays as I normally reach home around 1730. Rest a while then I'll be down swimming by 1800.

I'll be wearing a black speedo cap and a blue googles.

2) shah alam - where is this place
3) Sunway Club.
4) Holiday villa.
*
1) Never heard of it
2) Shah Alam - Is it the National Aquatics center near Tesco Shah Alam there?
3) Sunway Club - Never heard of it
