mayb windows player does not support the video u want to play. try download this player to try..

thx for all your help.but unfortunately i still cant fix it.i found out some information that i think will be more useful for u alll to understand the problem i am facing now.the error signature is lik tis:
AppName: explorer.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180 ModName: xvid.ax
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 0003d928
furthermore i had try out all player tat i have to try open the video file.wmp,media player classic , winamp , n also powerdvd.but still cant open.do u know what is the problem and how i m goin to fix it?

may i know what video is that (rmvb, avi or ?) ?

make a copy for the file, and change the ext to .rmvb and open the file though Media Player Classic

try using ffdshow instead
