if i want to replace sim card or something else, i normally went there for dinner with my family, get a ticket and eat first, after around 40 min went up and wait for a while, then it's my turn~

Hi, I would like to subscribe Umobile P98 for used as my home broadband.
I saw it have unlimited Video-Onz which can watch youtube, astro-on-the-go and iflix unlimited.
May I know is there any limit on it? Like only can view on 480p?
MNP also can get this package right?
Thank you
*
The speed is limit to 1.5Mbps or 192kBps (1Byte = 8 bits), therefore no buffering if video is set less than 480p, else you need to stop for it to download halfway then only play if you hate the buffering waiting time~

i have bad experience using cut sim.. became unusable.

if time allows, recommend u to do it a proper & safe way by changing it to nano sim.
*
Don't worry, just cut it as many times as you want and give it a reason that your phone is gone for warranty claim and need a new normal sim for temporary usage phone if your nano sim cutting is failed~
Normal sim replacement is free while nano sim got additional RM10 charge per replacement...
Btw i cut my old sim to nano sim and it is working although some of the part on the edge is cutting off~

yup, correct.  smile.gif

but just fyi:

what i mean proper is at the network side. actually, the sim physical info/configuration is embedded into in the sim's chip. so far, it has no impact on ur access to network services (browsing internet, etc..).

the core/access network though will still recognize ur sim as maco/micro. for future enchancements, there maybe some features that will only support sim with true nano size one.  smile.gif
*
mini (not macro), micro and nano are all same things, just different sizes, stupid apple always come out with different sizes concept even though smartphones are getting bigger and bigger but i dunno why they want the sim card to be smaller and smaller...

Not to mention when the cut sim is stucked in between the sim tray and your phone.  rclxub.gif
*
use a proper nano sim cutter cost less than RM10 at ebay won't make ur sim card become uneven surface and stuck in the phone... unless u r using normal scissor/knife with the template download online

Im a perfectionist. I still dont like a cut sim card. Do take note that the chip on the Nano sim is smaller than the micro sim. So if you cut a micro sim card using a nano sim cutter, the edges the chip will be visible.
*
if you cut old sim to nano sim before, you should know the base chip is same for mini, micro and nano, only that the surface is different, that's why cutting off some of the edge of micro into nano won't affect the performance

notworthy.gif change nano sim rm10.60 or free. but u rather to go get a sim cutter laugh.gif
*
u mobile website already stated is charging RM10 (plus gst) but some center guy forgot to charge u is ur luck, even though their nano size sim also frequently got problem and thus people need to always go there to replace it and got charge RM10.60 if unlucky to get the staff that forgot about this policy. to buy a cutter at around RM7~8 through ebay can get u cut as much micro (now mini sim all pre-cut to micro) as u like into nano without having the hassle to queue up at the center and paying the RM10.60 if unlucky again~ it's ur choice sweetheart~

Why Umobile
If I open  mobile data whole days
Mine phone battery is affected alot
Like 1 hours 2 %
*
u try lowering down your phone brightness, this should help as mobile data doesn't affect much on the power consumption as you will find that most of the time, the process that killing the battery fast is the display~ even though now i on bluetooth, gps etc also not so affect except the screen hotness~

Not accurate. Turning on data can seriously affect power consumption if you have apps which are always syncing.

For 'testing' just join a whatsapp group which is very active (every 20 seconds got message) and watch your battery life die without screen ever turning on.

Similar things can happen with FB if you get lots of messages or any other app which regularly uses internet with screen off. You can check which app is causing it (sometimes) in settings under Power Consumption.
*
just dont turn off something that u need, just turn off something that u don't need. believe me if you turn your brightness to maximum and minimum with everything on (bluetooth, gps etc), u will get a big difference, of cos u can get maximum battery if everything off but what for?

Some people used their cut sim card without issues while some did. Still I think it would be safer to use the original one. nod.gif
*
of cos those got survey before they cut they will cut it accurately, remember there is one side you cannot cut across the surface while another side can (for old sim). for new sim there will be no issue at all as all surface is within the cutting edge

nano type sim used by high end model so RM10 should not a problem, no ?  cool2.gif
*
is not high end or low end, even redmi note 3 also using nano sim slot nowadays. if you want something special e.g. modifying nano sim with microsd card for hybrid sim slot, u can't buy this type of card elsewhere but to diy urself. and believe me, it is priceless if u learn something by urself like what u learn to root ur phone for more features although vulnerable to security issue, but no pain no gain~

How about the ping bro for gaming?

Are the signal constantly 4G?

And youtube wat speed you can get?
*
i didn't use it for gaming as u mobile didn't provide fix public ip.
i set it to 3G or H+ only as i still need my phone to be able to make/receive calls cos if i set it to 4G/LTE, the incoming/outgoing call will drop the internet back to 3G and thus break my internet connection.
somemore there's not much difference in 3G and 4G speed in malaysia unless they can provide max speed 100Mbps on LTE or 1Gbps on LTE-A.
Video ONZ has capped speed at 1.5Mbps or 192KBps (b=bit, B=bytes, 1M = 1024K) but however it sometimes shoot to over 200KBps shows on top of my MIUI phone.
It really doesn't matter on what quality you choose from to stream your youtube, but however to avoid buffering time, the best is 360p/480p.
you can choose to off the Video ONZ on the capped speed if you want 1080p or 4k streaming by sms to turn off/on the Video ONZ.

i already told them through email that webe is going to hit the market with RM80 for everything unlimited (of cos with limited speed but should be 2Mbps or 4 Mbps) but why they still push for P98. They said will rectify this to their management and let's us wait for the news when really webe hit the shore~
