Out of curiosity,  which phone you've found so far that's lag free.
*
None so far. But the stutters are more apparent on Touchwiz than on stock Android. Sense UI is pretty much lag free too. Sony's is pretty light now too, Timescape UI used to be one of the worst UIs.

A bad fw or a poor restore could be the cause. Rogue apps are also known to be troublemakers. If you reset your phone without restoring and it still lags, then its the fw.

I set up the phone as new. i only got the phone for 2 weeks with only, whatsapp, twitter, and insta. and the chrome apps. I highly doubt it's the chrome being a dick. no apps are sucking the shit out of my RAM. and I'm pretty sure my firmware is fine too.

No battery apps or ram management apps installed? Those could be culprits too.

i've been long enough Android user to know that those apps are worthless hahaha. I even disabled the smart manager that came with the phone itself.

Sell me yours and get a nexus perhaps. But I dont find the nexus, though on pure android any slicker compared to the S7E.
*
I already returned my S7e haha. Im already using a nexus 6P but unfortunately it hardbricked and now in the market for a new phone. Stock Android is the lightest, therefore in theory, is smoother than any other.

Theoretically yes. But Stock does not means smoother... Stock but not optimised is just as bad.
Point in case 1+3 until the recent FW update. The trade off.. Battery life
*
Exactly why I say in theory haha. But as now, stock is smoother lah haha. Back in the Lollipop days 🙄
