Every whey is the same, it's used to supplement your daily needs only. Even if your daily calorie intake does not reach the required amount, drinking whey also no use. rolleyes.gif

Most 5lbs whey protein is under RM 250. Question is how many servings you'll get till you need to re-stock again.
Not all whey protein taste the same although its the same flavour.
Protein is proven to help build muscle. Newbies is proven to fail on how they think protein works.
Musclemania, BMF & nutritionpro, to name a few.

You slimmed down not because you change rice > oat. It's because you take lesser calories.
You guys bulk the wrong way. Drinking protein doesn't build ur muscle directly. The calorie does.

Now i just use Superior Mass by Superior 14. It is weight gainer but also can use as protein supplement, so no need whey protein anymore. Next just eat about 350gm chicken breast for dinner everyday. Supplement + Dinner already provide about 145gm protein which is enough for my bodyweight (1gm per 1lbs).

Need to learn what's a calories, surplus & deficit.

You can ignore everyone's posts. That's okay. You will wasting your time and won't grow any at all. :3

See you in "Why my muscle wont grow, body looks the same even I drank protein" thread. :3

It's not about hitting 1g protein per 1lbs bodyweight. At your weight you gotta eat at least 2,000 calories. Every food has calorie, learn to calculate it.

It is part of the process, it might take him 1 tub to realize protein doesn't work the way non-lifter think it is, he might tried 10 diff brands and finally thought oh that brand works, the rest doesn't. Overthinking which brand works which brand doesn't than calculating TDEE and knowing that chicken works is part of the process for every beginner, there might be exception thou. Blame the marketers that make supplement sounds like magic.

Start using myfitnesspal to calculate your daily calorie intake. Make sure you eat at 2,200~2,400 calories daily.

Use your money to buy real food like milk, eggs, meats, peanut butter, peanuts, olive oils, etc..

Oh. I just mention about protein since he just ask about protein.
I'm in about 250-300 calorie surplus to my TDEE. Hope this sufficient, coz i read there are people even at 1000 calorie surplus.

Btw, i based on this calculator iifym. (don't know if reliable or not since it state my TDEE just 1750 cal.)

I tried several calculators, there are a few formulas to calculate TDEE, all results are in +-100kcal, however, it is a starting point where you get your actual TDEE, by manipulating the values weekly, everyone's different because everyone has completely different daily activity, but the calculator gives the number somewhere around there.

Our TDEE varies by +-100 everyday anyway.
