Formation wise and how we shape up on the field there is little to no different IMO.

With the Invincibles it was always 4-4-2 on paper but in reality we all know that Gilberto is the slightly deeper of the two midfielders shielding the defense and breaking up play with Vieira the more advanced of the 2 supporting the attack and helping out in defense if needed and Bergkamp was almost always never level alongside Henry but rather as a number 10 just behind Henry with Pires and Ljungberg cutting in from both sides. There is not too much difference to the way Lauren and Cole overlaps on their respective sides to how Bellerin and Monreal does today as well. This essentially translates into a 4-2-1-3 formation which is similar to our current formation and setup.

The difference is that with the current squad different types of players are deployed in certain areas. ex: Giroud and Santi are totally different players to Henry and Vieira. Xhaka is more of a Petit than a Gilberto.

Spend 90 mill on world class manager > spend 90 million on a midfielder

yup but not perfect kick like the boss..once goal per year maybe hehe
*
Both were perfect kicks, else they wouldn't have ended up in the back of the net.

Nah... here was another from Giroud vs Crystal Palace. He scored 2 scissors/overhead kicks or whatever you call it last year.

thumbsup.gif  more like scissors kick to me but its joy to watch that goal..i hope giroud can score more than last season or make flicks that make a chances to others....
*
Well TBH Kos' goal is more of a scissors kick as well given the angle in which he strikes the ball is nowhere near 180 degrees like how its supposed to be in bicycle kicks.

Bah but who cares any way they are all great goals.

can't put both the ox and walcott in lineup like last match..the ox look teribble playing on the left..
and xhaka should play so santi can move forward a lot..
*
No complaints with that lineup. That is the strongest we can currently field at the moment IMO.

Ox/Theo on the right wouldn't matter much considering one hasn't been playing all that much better than the other. Both have been pretty poor over the last few games....

I actually have a good feeling about tonight. We may just might be able to win tonight.

No Xhaka....wtf....

Sanchez striker? Ospina?

My good feeling is down the drain now.

What an effing shit lineup from Wenger.

A draw will be a good result. I just don't see us winning with this team.

A win would be a bloody bonus!

spam crosses into the box for a midget strike.

Wenger-logic.

start giroud already ffs.

sanchez should not be the main target for our midfielders.
he's more suitable to be used in link-up plays or as a fox sneaking into the box and scoring goals. Not giving him the ball and expecting him to dribble past defenders and score goals.
at most he will dribble past players and then what? pass it back to our midfield..  doh.gif

EDIT: Iwobi and Sanchez should swap positions!
*
We have two strikers but instead Wenger chooses to play a left winger as a striker and leave both on the bench. Really LOL

Coq has been our best player for us. Seems like the only one who actually gives a shit about the match today.

Santi, mesut, Alexis, ox all don't deserve to wear the shirt today.

Damn good point but we should have lost. Pity PSG but that is how football is. You don't take your chances you will be punished.

From the manager to the players, all shit performances bar Ospina and Coq.
