Hi,

I ported from umobile to Hotlink and the line was activated this morning (currently using Hotlink SIM card).

After porting in, i do not receive any of my banking TAC codes (i tried CIMB, Maybank, HSBC, Public Bank). It was fine right until i changed the SIM card to Hot link.

Sending and receiving SMS is OK
Making and receiving calls is OK
Data is OK

Please help me fix it. Thanks.

This is so silly and its the first time i hear of this.

Porting into umobile was so convenient (no issue at all) - i don't have to visit every bank, LHDN, EPF to reset back my mobile number.

I'm going to port back to umobile to save all these hassle and time.

Hotlink, if there is a faster way, let me know. Otherwise, goodbye.

Hi All,

Have you try to re-enter the Message Centre +60120000015?

Alternately, you may change the SIM card at any Maxis Centre or Maxis Exclusive Partner for no cost.

Thank you

My mom ported out from Maxis to DiGi last year. Stayed with DiGi for about 7 months then ported back to Maxis recently. She never had any issue receiving TAC from any banks despite the change of mobile carrier twice.

You may want to call your bank to enquire. They may have a different SMS gateway for different telco.

why go through the hassle of porting back when you can just reenter your phone from ATM? and porting back doesn't even guarantee you can receive TAC again either

Many banks require you to go to the CS counter to change your mobile phone number for the purpose of receiving TAC since some time ago.

Your suggestion works.

I have tried the following:
1. Verify SMSC number
2. Replaced SIM card
3. Changed TAC phone number to new number (#2) and then changed it back to original number (#1). New number (#2) works but original number (#1) still could not receive TAC

Finally worked when i called the bank to change TAC gateway.

Sorry for bring up this thread, but I am putting the another resolution I did to resolved the same issue as TS faced.

Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Network Operators > Search networks > MY MAXIS

Woala, it works after I re-attempt to request TAC code from MAYBANK or CITIBANK.

Thanks!
