This is Nimitz *Special Edition* contains all adapters for XiaoYi Yi (all versions), XiaoYi Yi 2.7k, Xiaomi Mijia and 360 (generation 1 & 2) dashcam.
This is not generic Nimitz edition (explained in Q&A later).

Long pillar major improvement:
By using long pillar, you can now easily tune into better angle to enable dashcam fully covered by mirror where as short pillar with limited angle adjustment may still expose partial of dashcam body out of mirror casing.
Tips: best use 300mm wide mirror to conceal dashcam.



Joint body of 14mm and 16mm ball room size:
It is designed for 360 dashcam, one end with 14mm ball room size, the other end is 16mm ball room size.
It allow users use original 360 adapter that comes in non-standard 14mm ball size.

Withdraw 70mm long screws x2 as not really useful by customer feedback. If really need you can get these long screws at local hardware shop.








Question 1:Nimitz VS other brands/clone/immidated ~ Why choose original Nimitz instead of cheaper others?
Answer:The rule of thumb in biz world: cost = quality always prevail. Nimitz is using better material and in better design.


1.1) Clipping structural design flaw:
Others is using 1 side screw fastening, whereas Nimitz provide both side screw fastening, balance and stable!

Other's mounting diameter is FIXED. For slimmer pillar, user must add in multi ruber liner to get it hold up. But multi layers of rubber liners also can cause slippery in bumpy ride, not steady focusing any more.

Nimitz supports variety pillar diameter size from min 12mm up to xx mm as long as you got long screws of that length. Just need 1 rubber liner to strengthen stability.

** Nimitz provides both side screw thighting up, fitting variety of pillar size. Stability achieved with 1 rubber liner only !!!




1.2) Screw and nut material:
Nimitz's screw and nut are made of metal, whereby other makers use metal screw + plastic nut.
Nimitz enable consistent strong fastening power, whereby others with plastic nut would degrade fastening power over times.

1.3) Rubber liner design and material:
Nimitz rubber liner is more elastic (flexible), with matte friction finish that provide more grip power.
Others' rubber line is less elastic (flexible), with flat finish that provide less grip power.




1.4) Power USB cable management:
Nimitz joint body provides cable storage hanger to pass through usb cable neat and tidy, no mess up.






Question 2: Is this Nimitz generic/standard package? Is generic/standard package fit Xiaoyi?
Answer: No, this is special edition. Nimitz general/standard package comes with different multiple adapters but not fit XiaoYi, Xiaomi or 360.




Question 3: Authenticity, is your stock original NIMITZ? I saw some overseas ecommerce site selling at much higher price.
Answer: Yes, it is original NIMITZ stock.

1) Every Nimitz package comes with authenticity checking sticker on its instruction manual!

2) Engraved Nimitz brand name on accessory and rubber liner!

3) I got the stock from NIMITZ directly, namely from Nanjing province, China. Not from other famous trading province like guangzhou, shenzhen, etc whereby many imitated/clone products exist.





Question 4: Ready stock or preorder or ship from overseas?
Answer: Yes, it is ready stock. No need wait 2 weeks or 1 month or preorder all that.


Question 5: Should I need specify for which dashcam when ordering?
Answer: Nope, all adapters bundled in single package.


Question 6: Can other brand of dashcam using this Nimitz rear-view mounting kit?
Answer: Yes, as long as the dashcam is come with adapter with ball joiner, and the ball diameter is around 15-16mm then can fit in Nimitz body.





100% concealing your dashcam/ driving recorder!

One main purpose of applying rearview mirror mounting kit is hiding up your dashcam.

But what if dashcam casing is not pure black color? It would still visible. Modern dashcam got variety of color, such as grey, gold color.

For security matter, dashcam casing color is better 'tuned' into black.

Solution: Stick a dark solar tint film on dashcam casing for:
a) concealing dashcam
b) helps heat rejection


Available now this 100% dark solar film, best use for this purpose. It is a true solar film, not dye plastic film available in Mr.DxY. According to supplier, this film use korea material.

3M -super thin -high temparature resistance -double sided tape would be provided to stick the film to dashcam plastic body. This is a type of 3M tape being used for smartphone digitizer screen replacement, not those in stationary shop. (a few short strips cut off, NOT A WHOLE ROLL YA!)

Solar film helps reject heat being absorbed by xiaoyi dashcam, remember, xiaoyi use rechargeable battery, heat do harm to battery.
Using non-solar film black paper or carbon paper would absorp more heat because black color does not reflect light. Take note.

PWP: Juz add RM4, u can get 1 piece of darkest solar film (cut off size around 10cm x 6cm) + 3m tape strips (cut off, a few strips).
