if pillar of mirror is not fixed size all the way from top to bottom, means it getting slimmer till mirror, like Myvi one

then rearrange the rubber liner, circle it in a way to make it appears with double layers at slimmer part compare to upper part with 1 layer. then mount on the kit (upper part only) and test with hand it shake or not, if shake, redo the rubber placing. if no shake then only connect the central and bottom part with cam.

after changing from the stock suction mounting that came with Yi dashcam to this Nimitz, I notice the recorded footage has a lot of vibration. Any solution for this?

I never doubt my skill coz I am a DIY person. This type of job is peanut for me. Anyway back to the product, I think the vibration is due to the length. Now I shorten by folding the join to almost like a flatten Z shape, getting the camera closest to the rearview mirror neck as much possible (cylinder shape, not those you mentioned cone shape) Will try it out and if still fail, no choice but to sell it off. Just my honest review.
