Hi guys.
I'm planning to rent a house. Can I just terminate my tnb and let the new tenant to apply his own tnb?

I'm just worry that the new tenant refuse to pay tnb bills later on
Please help.

Thanks

Yes if u want to reconnect the electric supply and transfer account back to your name.

My former office also same problem.

TNB under previous tenant's name and he cabut after failing to pay the landlord for 3 months. Electricity bill comes to RM 3K. I applied for new account at TNB and they told me to settle outstanding arrears first before proceed. Called the landlord and he agreed to settle the arrears.

I'm doubtful TNB will go after the former tenant and there was no forwarding address. Everything on landlord.
