Does GTX 1070 as fast as the Titan X? I bet you can run this card in 4K in a single card and extremely good VR performance.

Oh, the sweet, sweet tears of my tennis buddy who was strutting and boasting about the GTX 980 Ti he bought less than 3 months ago.

He's still in denial about the fact that the GTX 1070 will outperform his baby for a fraction of the price he paid.. but hey, at least it will still colour-coordinate with the rest of his rig

Now, let's see if Computex will reveal how the first set of Polaris cards compare with the current GTX 960 and 970, on both price and performance.

What the least processor I should get if I plan to get 1070 😭 ? Still wondering whether new PC + oculus or ps4 neo + Sony vr.

Yes. Just like how everyone else is looking to go wide with their monitors, in VR the monitor is infinitely wide horizontally and vertically.

Graphics intensive games on VR is still yet to come, so even the 970 can power most of the VR experiences. Only three games exists so far that really looks as graphically impressive as traditional games: "The Climb" by Crytek(powered by CryEngine) where you play a mountain climber, Eve Valkyrie (augmented reality element so real, you wanna stretch out and touch it!) and Project Cars (they've injected the VR element into it during racing, and it is punishing graphics to do both VR headset lenses at high enough quality, that I can only do pCars at 1080p Medium, while I can do pCars at 4K60 on traditional gaming on a monitor with my GTX1080).

Would 1080p high fps 144hz monitor still relevant for 1070? Or shud look into at least a 1440p monitor if using this card. From ultra 1440p benchmark there is still several high end game that 1070 card sitting average at 40 to 50 which may make the game experience a bit lag no? Though most of the game played comfortably in 1440p but game are getting more and more detailed. If u hav the 1070 card Would u prefer to move to 1440p or stay at high frame 1080p in gaming
