Yes. But not sure if promo still there.

Just pay extra RM80 + GST, then not too bad.

Seems to contradict some post #1898 on a much higher payment required

Choosing FD instead of ASX , one will feel d pain after some years esp when the returns r compounded.

Then choose ASX will be better then?

If you don't have 'connection', the only way is multiple visits per day to few banks + ASNB. (That was me biggrin.gif )
Also check how helpful is the bank staff. The local banks (CIMB & MBB) at my area have standing order that they can check 1x/ request.
That's mean if you ask them to try $10k. They'll check 10k only. If none, they'll not try smaller units.
If you're busy at work, try and ask your non working family member to help you (my neighbour auntie helped her working daughter & grand kid). Bank staff is more helpful seeing elderly granny/ grandpa sitting patiently. Somehow she also got senior citizen privilege ahead of younger me.
200k target/ account? - not impossible. It's still about luck & timing.
AS1M- 20 transactions in 7 working days.

ASM- 22 transactions in 8 working days.

ASW- 39 transactions in 18 workings days
blush.gif I have extra bullets waiting and searching for 'parking' place now.  sad.gif  Unfortunately too much in ASX already. Can consider topping up AS1M as it has the lowest units but it's already beyond my personal target. Managed to place max limit in EPF and still looking for more stable non risky places.
*
Wow, what an achievement , well done. So you reckon 200k/account is the reasonable amount to park?

That was last year. Megasales v1. Try any amount/time sure can get. Most of us top up until we were broke and the units kept coming.
*
PNB increase the unit or lots of seller for megastore v1? When is V2?

Is there anyway to have online account to check the balance available, instead of having to check from the booklet?

Auntie twinkle ear's itchy blush.gif .
How about your personal goal too?
It's easy to reach your target goal if I presumed you're young and single with no debts/ loans commitments yet and still stay in in your family home.
*
I will target for 200k each, what about auntie twinkle?

It depends on individual investment objective n asset allocation
*
For risk averse investor, would it better off to put max fund allocation for liquid asset to ASX instead of FD, since ASX generate better return than FD and fund from ASX can be withdrawn anytime?

i dont have any good lobang, so  only put in MBB GIA for a measly 4%. i know u got
lobang at foreign currency, can share info how to go about doing that?
i go by value for a 5 fgure passive income
i dont do allocation or balancing, whatever is there just leave it

yeah if u have extra money, dump all there, u wont be wrong,
unless u got better investment  with low risk. as for me i am abit stuck,
so can only go for GIA or Fds, may be back to it again later on.
this ASM is easiest to get, but seems very profitable also huh....
depends on how much u want a month. that is the target.
if you target RM600k, u get 3k
*
Don't quite get what you meant a bit stuck, so can only go for GIA or FD? Do you mean target reached?

Forex is risky n it's ez to lose monies
U can pm me if u r keen

In order to have 5 figures income n assume 6% div, cumulative invt in ASx must reach min RM2 mil
*
Do they have that much units available ? Have not been successful to top up any unit recently, to get 200k would take years, what more for 2mil.

U can get huge amount..
The biggest I saw is 80k per shot.. If u try few times that day. Easily can hit 200k rclxms.gif
*
Thanks for the tip, mind to share the dividend date for ASM, ASW & AS1M?

Auntie really lucky.

I also tried today but 0...

Somehow that time in end May-June gave me really high hopes that I managed to reach my target at that time within 3 weeks...

Nowadays habuk pun tarak...
*
If the target is large amount, it is a very stretched target to achieve in 3 months

I was quite surprised when the staff managed to lock in 5 digits today on my 3rd attempt. Luckily the heavy downpour stopped and I can drive with a  biggrin.gif  home.
Not impossible as I'd locked everything in within much shorter period.
May- June were very easy indeed.
I'll just wait for ASW on ex dividend date too.
*
I guess not that many people have the time to keep queueing at the bank like you did. May - June not dividend date for any of the ASX, wonder why it was easy then.

Banks if ASX  > SA  = unlimited
Banks if ASX  > Cash = RM25k
Post office if ASX  Cash = RM5k/RM10k (not sure)

So banks are always the best and most secured option, much better than withdrawal from ASN HQ

if u don't have time.

then I give u one good suggestion.

"collect" all your cash..keep in banks first.. later on 1st September, u take 1 day off from work. go hunting from banks to banks.. guarantee units available..
*
If not many people cash out, or cash out amount is small, may not get it?
