as for me , its unfair to say which brand is the most problematic , as my samsung 4 years LCD tv still fine since the day bought it , i believe its depending on luck , when the time come to k.o its nothing we can do , all brands are like that , nothing will last longer nowdays

that's when warranty/extended w/insurance comes in,

rm1-2k, no bother, just junk if it fails right after normal warranty.

>rm3k, should consider.

My TV so far so good, belum rosak  brows.gif, no add on warranty because they were cheap in the first place, and it would pain me to be without TV for a long period - I would rather go out and straight buy a brand new TV  icon_rolleyes.gif

They're best seller, then obviously more complaints compare to others' lower sales

5 years ago before i buy a new plasma TV, i went to electronic shop (not selling shop, but repairing shop) and ask them which brand they receive most to repair. So i suggest other people can use that method also.

The answer i got from that technician is they repair a lots of philips and samsung tv. However, this doesn't mean data was accurate that much because from my observation at their shop, they repair a lots of crt tv. Only a few LCD or flat tv panel at that time. Based on that, it just gave me some idea regarding brand.

If anyone here wanna buy Sony, buy the one with the black colour dotted "S" logo. The LCD/LED screen is made in Japan. Also better quality parts and better QC. I used to supply printed manuals to Sony and Matsushita a long time ago. The people at Sony taught me how to identify which TV were made where. Can't remember their colour code but black colour is definitely made in Japan.
