So I was trying to watch an episode of TWD on Exodus, when suddenly I couldn't get a stream. I had tried until the 20th option. First I thought maybe my exodus wasn't up to date, so then I stumbled upon an article saying exodus support for kodi v16 is decreasing and HD links are reducing. I then went ahead and tried to update my kodi to Crypton, only to find out:

My Q5 is on 4.4.2, and Crypton is not supported.

Now there's other options like Zen, Quasar, Skynet, (by reading up on this thread) and was wondering if you guys would recommend which addon is still working great for v16.

And should I look into installing the fork for v16 (read in previous post, FTMX or something), or better of selling (won't be worth much now without kodi support?) My android box and getting a new one?

Also i realised all the 1080p that came out, there's this buzzing sound few seconds after it starts to play... What's the remedy?

Just a quick update. Factory reset teh whole MInix box. Downloaded SPMC 16.2 (thru Playstore) and added in only Exodus.
Works perfectly and nuch faster and ll 720/1080 links are back.

Anyone know how to download movie faster using quasar? Whats the setting either on quasar ot my router?fyi my home line unifi 50mbps,really hard to downlaod from publoc torrent with file size more than 10GB with less seeding...mostly big files,less seeders. Choose those small files with high seeders but the sound only 2 channhel,try to download those bigger files with at least got DTS also somwtimes quite hard...most of the times stuck at the buffering mode (default buffering 20mb)

If your devices can handle V17.3 with no issues.. Update..
Else rollback to Jarvis and stay there..
Or get a better device..
Streaming Rules: Good device + Good Source + Good Connection. Any faults in-between will affect streaming.. As for not seeing 1080p links, you have to remember that these links are manually put up by someone and are also taken done by someone or bots. So, the more popular the content you seek, the higher the chances of a live 1080p source to connect to. Plus, not just any 1080p source, the good ones too. Vice versa (for less popular content).

FYI: One must not always depend on instant streaming.. Direct downloads are a thing. Get HQ stuffs and play later at leisure.

My Real-Debrid account are free. you can register here. https://real-debrid.com/signup.php after signed up you need to activate real-debrid account in URL resolver. Kodi addons that used URL resolver will than utilize the the activation link. But free account only works within none peek hours.

how do you run quasar in hypptv. im trying use the thumbdrive but it buffer forever. im on 30mbps broadband.

Yeah thanks... Actually fixed it on mine earlier.. Just been busy with life, primary work, etc, and didn't get around to completing a video tutorial.. For others who still facing issues? Here's the step by step tutorial on how to fix it.

Good thing is that he has built it much further than Quasar was and with the way these addons work? It's hard to completely disable em.. Change the "Number of Channels" back to 2.0 and the Audio Output options should be select-able. Also depending on what audio system you are using, enable the "Allow Passthrough" option. This will allow the device itself such as AVR/Amplifier/HT/TV, etc to handle the compressed audio signals.

Your system can't still be hacked and you can still run into legal issues. Running a VPN doesn't mean your connected device is suddenly safe and immune from viruses or malware.. It's just encrypting your data traffic and routing through a single or series of servers onwards and back... Done properly? should be no issues. Else, be aware that almost all VPN services (free or premium...especially USA run ones) MUST log some form of personally identifiable info about you. I wouldn't worry much if i were you. Cuz just streaming, if you doing otherwise more serious stuff? Well, you should know how not to get caught.. 
Yeah... that reduction is quite severe.. But as someone who used to delight at seeing 3,5xxKbps during streaming (30Mbps Max on TM Unifi)? I'd say double at 7MB/s back then would have felt like paradise.. haha.. You should give Surfshark a try, if you haven't already done so..
