No matter the amount of requests, It'll be denied. Remember Kodi is simply a shell and the Kodi devs do not care (and rightly so) for addons such as Exodus. For years, they've been dealing with compatibility issues...devices with shoddy firmware or hardware... Patch here, patch there.. Now, there's a standard and manufacturers have to follow it or be swept aside. So instead of complaining to the Kodi devs, complain to your device' manufacturer for a firmware update with the proper standards included. For many of the cheap boxes out there, there will be no update.

That depends on your idea of cheap.. I can confirm that even some "gaming" grade laptops have issues playing certain media files or those with high bitrates. Not to talk of sound and resolution issues... Sound issues may not be much of a hassle if you only deal with stereo..

Probably better off with an HTPC.. But the really good ones can be quite expensive. Costs about the same as the Nvidia Shield TV 2 or even more. So might as well, get the beasty Shield TV..    Guaranteed compatibility & firmware updates straight from Nvidia.

I bought mine back in 2015 paying around RM500, very surprise to see the price still around that figure now.

But it's a good buy, a very robust box, just keep going on though I let it run 24hours 7 days non stop

Mentioned earlier.. Genesis Reborn is  a fork based on source code of Genesis, Exodus, Zen, and Specto.... Basically "borrowed" and modified code. As for Quasar, ever tried searching with the year as the keyword? Remember, the addon does not and will not act as addons like Exodus, etc. It simply sources and plays p2p files. The rest is up to the user.. Legal issues, this way.. The maintainers can keep working on it without much fear of a crackdown. Like Kodi devs.

I understood perfectly. Addons, don't work using fairy dust.. They pull content from somewhere physical... As I stated earlier.. Quasar does not host or store any such databases. Which is what is required to be able to do such specific searches. Ever wondered why addons such as Exodus, Genesis, etc, all start strong and later die, so soon? Heat!! .. Quasar is simply a torrent search and download tool.. Just like Transmission/uTorrent/Tixati software on PCs... They are aware but do not care if you go searching for legal or otherwise files. It's simply a tool, just like the Kodi app. Can be used for good and bad.. Quasar, just like Kodi cannot be fully held responsible if YOU, the user uses it to search for illegal content.. Cops will come bust down your door and not the maintainers.. Just like in the USA/UK, etc...

I use live PVR with almost 300 channels + full EPG that loads from a backend upon startup.. No issues. So unlikely.
Nothing new.. Especially the botnet part... Most folks have no idea what installing a third party repo can do to their network and or devices.. 
Haha, yeah Leia is on its way.. Been using Krypton exclusively for over a week and so far no issues.. Looks like V17.1 is a keeper and shall be made as default over SPMC.

I think you mean the Quasar addon, as the daemon does autostart each time Kodi is restarted. You can have working addon shortcuts on the main menu. If they keep being deleted after box turn off, then either it's an issue with the skin or your Kodi installation is somewhat corrupted and is not saving changes properly.. I recommend switching skins first to one like Amber.. If shortcuts still don't work properly, then time to nuke and re-setup your Kodi installation.. Do NOT backup and restore for obvious reasons.
