Hi all,

Just would like to verify, if anyone here using VPN for Kodi? Is it a must to use VPN? If so, can anyone recommend a best bargain one?

Thanks!
*
Not necessarily.. Most streams do not require a separate VPN subscription. The few streams that requires such.. Up to you to decide if they are worth paying for a VPN or not.. Remember this is Kodi, streams come and go..

QUOTE(ranger2020 @ Sep 28 2016, 03:57 PM)
anyone has done experinment on LibreELEC ?
*
There was a user awhile back. Kindly use the search feature pinpoint.. Many here either run Kodi off PCs or Android boxes/TVs.. Not much RPI following on Lowyat. Better community in the official Kodi community forum..

A quick browse thru and all tested links were working.. It's more of localized (country specific) channels, than super famous channels.. There are also some VOD media.. Overall, a decent alternative to keep, while they increase the content.. nod.gif

TQ, it works.

for those who had the old repo/addon, u must first remove them, reinstall new even when repo 2.0.0 and addon 3.0.7 appears same.

Yes you are right, streams come and go... biggrin.gif

I got another question:
Is there any addon that are for watching documentaries from BBC (like programs from BBC Earth, BBC Nature)?
It would be best if it is VOD type.
Yes I read the first page already, but can't seems to find one. tongue.gif

Thanks in advanced.

Hello all. I'm running Kodi via HTPC (Win 10 with ATI Radeon HD 5450 Card) thru Onkyo TX-SR508 to LG UHD TV.

My question is, I cannot get any 1080 movies to encode Dolby Digital or DTS, although I have enabled passthrough in Audio Output settings. It always shown as 1080 AAC 2.0 only. Any masters here know why is this happening? Kindly advice thanks!

Wow... Hey... these are what exactly I'm looking for, many thanks! thumbup.gif

Forgot to say, I've tested the documentary section within Phoenix, but most of them wasn't working. Some reported error and ask me to check the log file for detail, but I can't find where the log file is saved, so just ignore it. tongue.gif

hi guys,

Quick question: Anyone using either the official android remote for Kodi OR the Yatse on their phones?

I would like to know if it is possible to use them both if I do not have an android box. i.e, I am using Kodi directly on my android TV and without a STB.

Yes, at minimum, the official Kodi remote will work... Make sure your phone and your Kodi device are on the same network. If you don’t connect your phone to your home wireless network, you’ll need to do so before you setup Kore. Kore will search for your Kodi installation and the rest..... history.

Can anyone recommends me the stable add-on for sports channel? Tried most of the foc addons such as Phoenix, Adriansupertv, Sportsdevil, etc.. None of them work smoothly. Kinda frustrated with the buffering experience. Can't complain as it is foc. Hehehe

Wondering is there any paid addons which are reliable and worth paying yet affordable? I just don't want to go back to axxtro... Lol

You may pm me if not convenient to list them here. Cheers!

It should show up under video addons. As for the Taiwan channels not workings, perhaps the sources are down at the moment (can't personally check cuz..out).. Check again at a later time.

Taiwan channels... most not working now, try later.

China channels.... yesterday down, now ok.

Japan channels... all off except nhk.

Australia, hong king channels all ok.

Kodi is like that, no guarantee.

Becos it is free, developers not responsible day n night for them.

Just do not count on one addon or one channel.... use multiple, standby alternatives.

Which is why it is extremely diff to have live sports hd 100% for free. Dont count on it.
