I'm a parent of an infant. I have been looking for day care service for my baby and have visited a few infant care centres. The one that i am currently considering is Cherie Hearts International Preschool @ IOI Boulevard Puchong. The school looks pretty decent, with nurses taking care of the infants and there are some activities for them as well. Hence, the baby will not be just laying down and being rocked to sleep all the time, like how nanny usually get them to do.

Anyone has sent their infant/child to this preschool before or have any experiences with the school before? Would really appreciate a review or some sharing please.

Thanks!

Hi Babyvparent,

So in the end are you putting your baby to Cherie Hearts? I heard it is quite good but I am curious about the fees for their infant care.. mind to share? Thanks.

Hello Macca,

They are charging RM1440/month but if you asked me if it's good, ever since they changed their management team, it's going down hill.
They do not allow parents to step into their premise and you have to drop off or pick up your kids infront of the entrance. (just imagine something like prisoner's visitation, all done through the glass door). The management team do not take parents and their views seriously. Whatever opinions/views that parents give, they will only ask junior staff/teacher to entertain you. No solution/improvement after that. It's like you are talking to the wall. They do not promote open communication and they have just disabled whatsapp group amongst the school PIC and parents of various group. This is one of their trick to disable communications amongst parents. No communications means no sharing of information. And that means, parents know less about the school, the teachers, their children, and hence, less complaints.

If you're planning to send your kids to Cherie Hearts in Puchong in particular, please think twice.

Hahaha... there's no other ways that the parents can communicate to each other, so have to resort to the forum to rant. How sad right? Yes, i strongly believe that they will never create an app for parents to view the cctv, see more, know more and complain more!  whistling.gif

Fee paid till end of the month. smile.gif

Hi mummies,

I'm very very new here in this forum as I'm not Malaysian. I'm Vivian here currently looking for infant care for my 7 months baby in Malaysia(Puchong area) for 3 months. I have my 3 months business trip in KL, and my baby currently still breastfeeding, so I have no choice to bring her with me. Heard from few of my KL friends said that Cherie Hearts at IOI is pretty good, but after I go thru all the messages here, I can understand your feeling, because I had all this experience before in Singapore on my 1st 2 kids. Actually, almost all the center in my country are not allowed parents to step in because of the hygiene and safety purposes. I did complain before like what u guys had but the reason they explain is reasonable la.

If they allow parents to go in, I'm sure all the parents will want to go in, and no one can make sure all the parent's feet are clean. The whole day wearing the shoes and for sure a lot of bacteria, try to imagine if the kids lie on the floor which the parent's "dirty feet" steps around puke.gif
For children always getting sick, nah, my boys stay at home last time also will get sick one, the family members also will carry the virus. Try to understand more about why children always get sick online. Is damn normal my dear, unless u keep your child at home in a vacuum. HFMD is very normal nowadays, is spread thru saliva, normally babies will get a higher chance because they always put their finger into their mouth or rub their face. We are not able to stop the babies doing that and I don't think we can keep washing their hands sweat.gif We not able to do that, do u think the nanny in the center able to do so? And is the center create this virus (HFMD)? Who brings in this virus leh? The baby loh sweat.gif why blame the school leh? All the kids have to go thru this stage no matter how old are they. I though only Singapore parents kiasu, now only know everywhere the same sweat.gif

I personally feedback, if you do not trust the caregiver anymore please stop putting your child there, if not you won't feel good and I believe the caregiver as well. Sometimes we need to try to understand each other and maintain the good communication with the school will be good for both parties.

Wow, I'm so sorry to talk so much, almost forgot my reason to join this forum sweat.gif
Can anyone share with me more in others preschool around Puchong area? At least I have the 2nd choice? I'm not able to visit the center so only can search the feedback online and will register straight away when I'm there next month. icon_question.gif icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

Latest update:
Their centre recently had 4 children with hfmd. And my child is one of them. I am so disappointed with this daycare centre. They claim they sanitize the place everyday. Now i can assure that the place is not clean and that proves why my child is always sick. Anyway, where did you send your child for daycare now? Any suggestions? You may pm me.

( parents are not allowed to enter for hygienic purposes. Now they are cases like this. What nonsense. So the nurses are not trained about cleanliness? All bullshit. Opening up a daycare centre just to earn money and do not care about children’s wellbeing. Lousy place)

This is a review of this place. Cherie Hearts ioi boulevard. To those who think they want to give this place a try, u may.

Oh dear, your baby got infected with HFMD this round? I can imagine how frustrated you are as my kid got it as well when in Infant Group. Within <2 years that my kid was there, there were 5 freaking times of HFMD outbreak. Out of which, 2 times the centre was closed for a week. Can you imagine that? It's so frustrating for us parents as we have to take emergency leaves to stay at home to take care of our children. Another kid even got infected twice in a roll! They kept saying that cleanliness and hygiene is of top importance to them but HFMD keeps infecting the children in the centre. My friends who send their kids to much cheaper Montessori (>2 times lower monthly fee) for 2 years by now and have never heard of any HFMD case reported. So why are we being charged at premium fee but still suffer from this?

Do you know why parents are not allowed to enter the centre? This is my guess.
They used to allow parents to get in to the reception area (just a very small space which initially meant to be parents' waiting area). There were parents who sometimes went in to use the toilet and that's where the parents "noticed things", for example: a parent saw with her own eyes that the nurses/teachers changed tape diaper for the young toddler on the bare floor (with no mat or pad). The parents made a big hoohaa out of this which i feel is absolutely reasonable! It's so unhygienic to get the kid's back and butt on the floor where so many people has stepped on, it will be extremely dirty even if you clean the floor everyday right?

My kid is still in CH because the school that i initially planned to enroll my kid to has rejected our application due to limitation of age. Will have to stay put for now and wait till my kid's next birthday to try again. sad.gif

Don’t take lovelyviv’s comments seriously, she sounded like someone working for Cherie Hearts Puchong. If you noticed, she has just joined lowyat for less than 24 hours and her first post was to compliment on the centre and give “justification and clarification” on behalf of CH.

Hahaha this is so hilarious. It is so obvious that you have been talking in defence of the school instead of the parents. I don’t really understand why you have to apologise to Cherie Hearts when you’ve been nothing but a mighty defender for them. As you rightly said, this is a platform for us to share our feedbacks on Cherie Hearts. For you to say things like “God bless to all preschool who accept parents like you”, I guess it doesn’t take a genius to figure out the position that you are taking here. It’s so low I’m just going to laugh and move on. LOL

Latest Update:

5 children in Cherie Hearts (from Play Group 1, Play Group 2, Nursery and Kindy) got infected with HFMD. Seems like they have reported to MOH. Hopefully the school won't be closed for a week like the previous time. I have utilized all my leaves for this year and have to take unpaid leave to take care of my kid if it's really closed. icon_question.gif rclxub.gif

Wow. This is very serious. I just sent my baby girl to Cherie Hearts Kota Damansara not long ago (half a month), so far so good. Hopefully there is no HFMD.

Just wonder, did you get a report card with your baby conditions everyday? (for example, what time the baby sleep, shower, change diaper, eat, etc.?)

I think the quality of the branch depends on the individual management, it could possibly be only Puchong's branch that has an issue. smile.gif

When my kid was in infant group, yes, there's a folder with record of the baby everyday. I think it's standard across all Cherie Hearts. There were records of passing motion/changing diaper, temperature. I don't remember them recording the nap time, eating time or shower time though.

Your kid still with Cherie Hearts now? The branch at Kota Damansara is newly opened since July 2018.
Yes, they do record the nap time, eating time (including how many oz milk the baby drink) as well as shower time.

I'm still testing them out, hopefully nothing wrong with my baby.

Yah, my kid is still with CH now. I don't seem to be able to find another preschool that allows pick-up as late as 7.30p.m. All of the others that I found are allowing pick-up till 6.30p.m. only. That's why I'm still stuck with CH despite all the dissatisfaction. sad.gif

Yes, please monitor your baby closely. Trust your instinct and do query them and ask for details if you sense anything not right.

Hi, first of all thanks to your comments, but we as CH Management are always looking forward for improvement, and please feel free to come forward to us directly if there’s any problem, I don’t think voicing out here can really help your child.

Regarding the recent HFMD cases, MOH just visited our center today and here’s a brief of their report.
1. Our hygiene standard Is up to their requirement, and no closure is necessary
2. The disinfection process to the kids during entry everyday is a good practice
3. They noticed proper disinfection done

I believe you can release now as no center closure required. Hope you enjoy your stay here. Now you know who I am, sinciely, I wish you let us know who you actually are, coz we really did not receive such complaints from our current parents (via the correct channel)
