You received the physical part already and confirm it's not Mediatek or 16GB model? BTW, since you claim it come with Google Play & not much bloatware like China Set, then it shoul dbe Malaysia set instead of AP, right?

Ok, just bought a gold unit from Lazada as per the link shared.

Just received my phone, should be an AP set from the box printing (all Chinese words at the back) and also the non local adapter.
However , phone already come with Google play and from the phone info, it show with a global rom. So I guess mine already have a stable global rom in it and no need to flash again, right?

In my opinion, you can't blame Xiaomi on this.
Since the 1st place they never launch the MTK version here, the global version is always the SD model.
It's the user choose to buy the AP set with MTK model, then have to take their own risk loh.

Try look for seller cklsalessupplies from Lelong, guess he sell the cheapest (RM3) temper glass SC for RN3.

Well, up front will still try to get a phone with pre-installed stable global rom first.
Btw, found that the mi pc suite not supporting rn3 on rom flashing, guess that's why need to use the miflash tool.

Ha..Ha...sometimes I get confused between redmi 3 redmi note 3 too. In fact, wrongly bought a redmi 3 tpu casing from lelong that day too. Part received only found it's wrong.

Is the fingerprint setting work? Mine when enter the fingerprint setting, it'll go to screen lock & password setting ,not finger print selection.
Besides, in photo setting, is it only able to choose high or medium quality, no 8,10 or 13mb setting? In video setting also only hd or full us setting only, no 720 or 1080p setting?
