Hi there...have anyone used the HBH-GV435 with P990i? So how is it?? Good? And how about the life span for the phone? As u know P990i battery drain so fast..hehehe...still I'm loving it every moment....About my software...written is Phone : CX162037 R9EA001, Bluetooth : CXC162058 R5A01, Organiser : CXC162092 R4A13 and CDA : CD162007/8 R4A04. Is that the lastest??? Please advise? Thanks

I am using HBH-GV435, it sound better, clearer and louder compare to my old HBH-608. But the buttons position is kinda odd. I am still getting use to it.

1. Ya the battery life of P990i is average, if there is  any activity on your phone during midnight, exm: sms, mms, miss call, reminder and etc. The green lights will blink fast to gain your attention which will drain the battery even faster.
2. Some suggested that by using Tweak Peak (Disable the transition effect) and Swiss Manager/Pro will make P990i performance better. For my case, I have uninstall both applications because I had more problem when both applications installed.

I've found out a trick here, if you click the shortcut and calender icon (the most left icon when flip open) often, it will decrease the RAM amount available which leads to auto restart even if you have Swiss Manager/Pro installed. Avoid clicking the icon will make your phone performance much much more faster and stable.

3. Yes you are using Singapore Chinese enable set like mine here, the firmware is kinda old, the last update was back at mid of February.

You can't compare the N80 IE or the N95 with P990i.

P990i is a whole different class by itself.

It's a PDA business phone. Not a multimedia gadget.

i m oso a p990i user. any1 update their firmware b4 at sony ericsson centre b4? can u plz tell me the price 4 the upgrade? n any1 used itech blueband with p990i? is their any problem when usin it? cause i heard tat SE phone is not compatible with itech. any1 can clarify this? thx 4 the help.

You can update your firmware with the Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS) by yourself which cost you nothing. 

Many users including me had upgrade it and it's working fine here.
Just that you need to reinstall every single application after you update the firmware. 
chen9wei , I dont think the P990 is heavy though. It's kind of light if compare to the ugly N91. 

I just noticed that 6600 is even larger than the P990. 

Eh guys, I dropped my 2-day-old P990i yesterday.

Nothing serious, but the top part of the back has a small little chip at the camera area, that's all. Not visible as it's very small but I'm still conscious about it.

Any idea if SE sells the top back (above the battery cover) part of the phone?

anybody had problem with wlan? i connected to a hotspot but they said cant find remote server. thus i cant use the net. anybody experience this b4? any solutions?  i tried difference places oso the problem persist. thx

Ya i heard the world generic is better..btw, mine is the hk firmware..makan lot of ram..on fresh startup i'll have around 10+ mb open this and that left like 5-7mb..

Ok then since can diy flash I should be confirm with my purchase. Was struggling between wm5 device and p990i but since p990i is hell lot cheaper, I guess I grab it.

Problem:
I just updated my phone using SEUS.
Okay everything ran smoothly until 100%.
After that i on back the phone, during the Setup Wizard, and when Copying Contact, it stuck at around 50%.
Then i take out the battery and put it back again lo.
After that, i canceled the Setup Wizard, and go to my Contact there, and try to open my contact from SIM.
After waited for half an hour, it still under process.
I pressed Task Manager and get back to Main Menu lo, okay it worked.
After that i try to key in a new contact directly to the phone lo, okay it worked.
But, when i call using the number that i keyed in, the display there came out nothing but only number.
So, how do i solve this kinda problem?
Or is my SIM card died jor?

Same here , at first feel the phone is soo sluggish while in actual it's so perfect .

Tried Master Reset, tried re-update it again, but still can't
When i press "SIM", it will load.
Then load till half, nothing came out, then when i press the Back(the U-Turn arrow thingy) button, nothing happen, and it just stuck there only.
Only way to go to Main Menu is through Task Manager there.
So what's my problem now?
Is it really my sim card problem?
Cause i've tried my gf's sim card, no problem at all.
