yup. P910i & M600i shares the same OS -> UIQ 3.
maybe ur fren's is the chinese FW version..might be lil slower than normal ones. mine running smoothly & hardly lags or hangs.

@ nicholas84 : bro..think there's few forummer selling M600i now..price quite reasonable..do try 2 look around..sure will be more after CNY..

@ sunauto : yeah..agreed. white can get stained & dirt on easily. i wipe mine every night..jaga like baby..hehe i'm swapping between cloth & silicone casing both when carrying the phone around. but think sweats sometimes will make the phone look yellowish too. ur friend damn keng la man...such nice phone should be protected & taken care of properly.. so for those who think they dont have the time to take care of the white M600i..advise u to take black ones..looks cool anyway..elegant~

try go the SE authorised distributors shops. sure there will be samples there.
try go to www.sonyericsson.com.my & search for dealers under 'Support' category. or i think few SE shops @ times square & sg. wang/lowyat got...

well..it could be the FW problem. my M600i used to have this prob where alarms go off @ times where i didn't set it / didn't ring @ the times i've set it. (set @ 8am but ring @ 8pm etc.) in short, the alarm system is in a mess. but after upgraded to the latest FW, all problems solved.

@nicholas84 : dont think there's any GPS software for UIQ3 right now.

@sunauto : well..i never use P series before..is it that bad & laggy for P990i? M600i shares the same specs with it right? mine running smoothly when viewing docs & surfing net without any prob. weird huh? maybe there's something to do with the FW?

@blinky : hehe..u getting a new one? well..M600i is definitely a good buy. never regretted buying it. that's why i'm reluctant to sell it off..still in love with it..

@sunauto : well..it's quite suprise me that P990i lags & unstable as always thought such high-end phone is top in SE's lineup.

@blinky : welcome back, ex "president". another user of M600i. glad i'm on the same boat.

it's quite soft if u keep the fon in ur pocket or bag. missed few calls sometimes. but if u leave it on the table or open area..it's still quite loud. louder if u put it with the speaker facing upwards. try to use louder mp3 ringtones or set the volume to max, it helps.

bro..can u recall the software comes with which mag? think i needed that software. late for class today coz my alarm was too soft. darn~

@nicholas84 : where u got the news from? several hp shops said so? i dont think it's true. havent seen or heard news of M600i's successor yet.

what's included in the full package? if it's Midland & still looks new..i think it's worth it. for me.

the phone really so popular r? thought youngsters sure wont be interested as the phone doesnt have a camera. with that price tag some ppl would go for N-series. hehe. do keep an eye in the trade zone thread. good luck man.

blinky : i think its around rm100-200 for ori ones. just my estimation. can ask @ any SESC. SE S700i ori housing + keypad is around RM180-190. dont think M600i got Grade AAA type of housing. such rare model...

nicholas84 : how much u got it, bro? glad u finally found one. welcome to the club.

haha..got the same problem with mine too. lost the clip when keep take battery in & out last time when changing the simcard. u can get it repaired @ any SESC for a charge of RM70-80. forgot the price the salesperson quoted for me last time but its around that range. forgot the part's name already. tink it's middle panel or sumting. the clip comes with it.

but u gotta pay some deposit 1st then wait for few weeks for the parts to arrive coz they gotta order it. that's what the salesperson told me. the SESC i went to is Maxicom @ Tmn Segar, Cheras.

RM1k? the M2 is 64mb? its ok la, man. handsfree wont cost much right? can get the HPM-70 for RM40 only. tho its AP.

when u bought it should check the whole phone & take off the battery compartment case . when comes to used items we have to check it properly. if new items then nvm..that's for me.

mine the clip gone but the plastic didn't patah. i DIY myself a clip with the same shape & curve. wanted to go to SESC change the whole middle/back panel at 1st but duwana waste the money.

100% confirmed it can be replaced. dont worry. just maybe they need 2 order & u have 2 wait. just go to any SESC & tell them ur problem. good luck man.

p/s : your's AP or ori set? coz if ori i think maybe can be replaced for free. not sure.

agreed with Saigo. my M600i has it too. Got it when i updated my firmware. the 'Speaker' button will be there on the screen whenever u make or answer a call.

any idea when will this be on our m'sian market? damn it's nice!

what kind of programs that u've lost? usually master reset is good as it erase all the junks. all of the phone's ori software will still be in the fon even after master reset. i just lost the Opera web browser. all the games & applications still in.

mine the games still there even after master reset. weird..

anyway..since your's is an ori set..why dont u try go to SESC & ask them about this? can flash new firmware for free too..
