Hi guys, I've been facing this issue for the past 2 weeks now. High packet loss starts from 9PM until 12PM/1AM every single night. Is this another TM issue ah?

If hack by others, why every night same time only got this issue?

Are you using wired or wireless(Wifi) connection.

Im using Wifi connection. Tried to ping to steam server sgp-1.valve.net when using lan cable, still got high packet loss.

Thats why you should use wired connection like LAN connection for stable internet connection.

Wireless connection(Wifi) has less performance compared to wired connection.

Test again after using a wired connection.

I tested using wired connection (Lan Cable) already. Still the same, only encounter this issue at 9PM to 12PM everyday. Before 9PM everything's ok, wired/wireless both are working fine without packet loss.

Try ping a diiferent Steam server.

I'll have to wait for tonight to ping other servers then. Coz right now is still ok, no packet loss. Only encounter this issue at night after 9PM..

Yes it happen on streamyx users too , only nite time high packet loss noticeable if u do continuous ping to valve sg server in command prompt

I've been playing online for the longest time on wireless, since the era of USB based wifi cards (there's no internal built in wifi card back then). No issues with internet connection stability, only 1 time & its solved after I changed my old router.

So wireless can be as good as wired.

Its happen to me and few friends.

Packet loss from 8+ pm to 11.30+.

Few options that you can consider:
- Play after 12 am
- Use VPN i.e WTFast, Killping. Basically need to pay per month.
- Try play at other server. Tried Japan before. Ping 90+, no ping loss.

Best if you check your ping 1st using cmd before start play.

And the packet loss + high ping is back again for the last 2 days at night. Damn it TM.

mine is not high ping but ping fluature like hell .

u're sharing the bandwidth ? after u upgraded to ADV 30 there are no issue anymore.

I use WTFast subscription, WTF only has 8 servers to Singapore, and only 1 of the server is working. So need to make lobby under Valve SG server everytime to test which server is free of packet loss and stable, quite a hassle

without vpn my ping is 58ms but 20% ping loss

with finchvpn, i get 2xx ms but 0% ping loss

which one is more advisable to use? hmm

battleping, i read a bit and then tested it, problem solved!!

from 48ms with 30% ping loss to 80 ms with no ping loss, yay

I got same problem with unifi everyday. Yesterday try to play was stuck at 1000 ping.

Klang Valley area.. Haih this issue keep reoccurring.. No permanent action taken by TM.. I don't know how to dispute to them already.. they keep asking to call 100 and do same thing by asking me to restart the modem etc.

its the routing issue to sg i think cause with battleping I'm getting 7x ms 0 ping loss and i will recommend trying it out on free trial, with 20 minutes cut off tine though

Most likely.. but during the stated time, facebook also lagging. cant even load a video on FB..

Same here, it's not only playikg Dota but streaming also need to wait d and it only happens at night

and tm says "not their fault"

anyways i used to buy maxis surfmore 50 just to dota 2 but now i can significantly reduce cost thanks to my unifi solution

Nope. 100% positive its not about the router issue. Btw, my issue has been resolve (without changing any router).
But don't know what TM did at their end.
