Understand la bro.. me also working.. tongue.gif
not enough time to play games myself...
can somebody start a company where we play games all day long and get payed shit loads of money to do so.. laugh.gif

Erm i think you can try to get urself into any game developers and work for them as their in-house "tester".
With that, you'll get paid for playing games and also you get to play the game 1st before others.
What's not so cool is, ur job is actually to find bugs in the game. So imagine that you will have to play the same scene in the game for 10 hours in 100 different ways to see if it crashes or has bugs or not. I've read an article in newspaper that it is not a cool job as many would've thought.

the whisper in the wind why the asian version will arrive so late is because the game is free region, microsoft is afraid that the asian stocks will get imported back into the US.

so they decide to delay the asian version so that by the time we get it, most of the US folks have already gotten a copy. less risk of the game being imported back to the US at a cheaper price.

how true is this? i don't know.

That's really annoying. What the hell? This really sucks. 22nd? Totally no time to play since Halo 3 would be out days later.

so if the publisher - 2K games, implemented a region code or lock, they can release the game simultaneously worldwide without worrying about those parallel importers, eh? smile.gif will GTAIV Asian be 1 month later too?

i know region code/lock can be beneficial as well, it means lower prices for countries with lower purchasing power but sometimes can also suck - (Asian versions of AC4, Trusty Bell comes to mind)

maybe asian gamers can email 2K games Asian office and ask about the region lock thing?

technically, yes. games with region lock technically can get released worldwide simultaneously. but its more than that. Asian version of the game has to have the chinese language option (not sure about jap language being mandatory also) too. From what i heard, usually its quite fast. most publishers work on it at the same time they are developing the game.

Thats why u also see Euro or PAL version always get released later. They have to incorporate all the different euro languages like Italian, German, French, etc into the game.

btw, bishock in singapore (and maybe asia also) is distributed by Microsoft themselves.

So the best thing is to have the damn region lock instead of region free games tongue.gif

That way everybody gets it on time and Microsoft need not worry about cheaper Asian versions whisking its way into the US.

Exactly. This is nonsense. They should release them at the same time, and region lock every damn game. Instead of all this nonsense.
