reading neogaf, i'm not surprised the d/load speeds are back to a crawl worldwide. the last stranglehold demo overloaded the servers for a couple of hours, this will be worse. LoL

if the game atmosphere is too scary to play, just use the custom BG soundtrack and play some happy songs and don't play in a darkened room

"not available in blah, blah region" is those XBLM border controls and IP checking. GeOW mappacks have the same problem. i wonder is this because they want to prevent those Germans from using a "fake" US/SGP account to download banned/restricted stuff

i think the same team that did the finished but unreleased game "The Lost" is also working on bioshock, correct?
http://ps2.ign.com/objects/015/015041.html maybe they can have the game hidden somewhere as an unlockable easter egg |

QUOTE(thurtin @ Aug 23 2007, 04:57 PM) the whisper in the wind why the asian version will arrive so late is because the game is free region, microsoft is afraid that the asian stocks will get imported back into the US. so if the publisher - 2K games, implemented a region code or lock, they can release the game simultaneously worldwide without worrying about those parallel importers, eh? so they decide to delay the asian version so that by the time we get it, most of the US folks have already gotten a copy. less risk of the game being imported back to the US at a cheaper price. how true is this? i don't know. i know region code/lock can be beneficial as well, it means lower prices for countries with lower purchasing power but sometimes can also suck - (Asian versions of AC4, Trusty Bell comes to mind) maybe asian gamers can email 2K games Asian office and ask about the region lock thing? |

QUOTE(zio @ Aug 24 2007, 06:51 PM) So the best thing is to have the damn region lock instead of region free games or MS lawyers can always threaten to sue P-A or YesAsia to stop exporting "cheap" asian version games to EU/ Australiasia/US That way everybody gets it on time and Microsoft need not worry about cheaper Asian versions whisking its way into the US. |
