Hey there,

Please help me. Everytime i test for my connection, it fails at the wireless network test. And i dont know what to do next. If anyone knows how to fix this problem, i'd be glad cause i've been trying to fix this thing for days with no luck.

Thanks in advance.

Brand = TP-link

Model = WR542G

By the way, my router is in the 1st floor and my 360 is in my room ( G-floor ). This i believe is not the problem, cause the 360 senses the signal.

Did that. But still it doesnt work. Could it probably be that my router is not xbox-live compatible??? My psp works well with my router's setting.

I tried using my psp to connect to the router, and everything works great. Iam connected to the internet. But not with the Xbox 360, yes, iam using g mode. I'll try to change to b and see if anything happens.

What do u mean by So say you use 64-bit encryption for the word "gears". Then you have to enter the 64-bit format into your Xbox 360 - ie. NOT the word "gears" ?

Red Light on the link indicator ( Under Network Settings after u connect to a SSID ). Not on the MS wireless adapter . I tried everything from DMZ, upnp enabled and etc. No luck. Even port forwarding. When i test with wired connection, everything was fine and even the NAT was open.
I even download some stuff from Marketplace and kicked somebody's ass in FIFA 07.

Anyone that can help me, i give them free 1600 MS points. Iam dead serious.

PrivateJohn, it works fine when i test it at my uncle's house. (Aztech)

Actually when the 360 look for the wireless signal, it was there ( the SSID) and the signal is 100% (cover the 4 bars) although the router is located at 1st floor of my house and the xbox at the ground-floor. Btw, which router you recommend that is a 100% working. What model? and price pls?
