QUOTE(Beogatts @ Aug 4 2016, 11:51 AM) haha..thx for letting me know earlier. ill maintain it myself then That is what I always had in my mind. When the SC guy thick the checklist, I told him no need to check battery water and also so called battery protector BUT after service everything is included by the person who did the service. I had to keep my temp cool. I don't want to argue with the person at the desk. What to do? the warranty is 5 years and if you miss servicing at Perodua, the warranty is no more valid

QUOTE(rest89 @ Aug 8 2016, 10:51 AM) Guys... I need some help... I've changed many times the front sensor but after awhile I keeps beeping for no reason again and again... getting fustrated with SC... always say sensor fully... but no solution... did any of you guys here faced the similar problem? I had the same problem once when the car is new. Initially it was not beeping that bad. They change the new control board and it is getting worse. Then on the next appointment, they change the sensor itself (the one on the bumper). Now, no more problem; except when the motorbike squeeze in the wait near my sensor at the traffic light

QUOTE(AjkR06 @ Aug 7 2016, 01:57 PM) Mine is 18KM/L average. Can refer to my signature. Daily journey from home to workplace takes about 100KM++. Federal route without any traffic jam at all (well, i'm working in the less 'havoc' and calm area ), just got many traffic light along the way About 7KM hilly road. Trip to workplace in the morning, no AC turn on. Trip from workplace to home at evening, AC turn on. Average speed - 80KM/H and max at 100KM/H. My potent booster set at F-5. Axia Advance AT. Since you use highway almost like me, I also hit the 18km/L mark without any potent booster whatsoever even with speed hit around 120km/h (eco light is off)

QUOTE(64bit @ Aug 8 2016, 02:54 PM) I need to buy some touch up paint to fix some scratches. I have tried searching under engine hood and car doors but still fail to find it. There got touch-up kit in Tesco. The kit has 3 bottles. First to clean surface to ensure the paint adhere to the surface. Second is the paint itself. The third on is a clear lacquer to make the paint shines. Very easy to use. Nearby the kit, there is chart for right car color. All kind of cars' made

QUOTE(eniltoh @ Aug 14 2016, 08:43 PM) Any one knows whether bezza back seat is compatible with axia? Love to have split seats at the back but am not sure whether it'll work as axia does not hv a boot structure behind those seats. Just don't want the middle portion to sag. So, you want to buy Bezza for its seat and put it onto your Axia?

QUOTE(-PuPu^ZaPruD3r- @ Aug 15 2016, 11:23 PM) Yay just encountered second problem for my car Not really major problem.. fuel gauge meter Mine intermittently the engine jerks for not reason. It is random. Few times the engine light turned on. When this happened, the air-will be turned off. When reached home and started the car the next day, the engine light still on but normally will off before reach Perodua SC The diagnostic showed voltage drop. They still don't know what was wrong. Last week they changed the throttle body. I think I saw its price at RM900 over. So far still ok but I think slight jerking. Not sure what they are going to change this time if it still happened.

QUOTE(TAN WENG @ Aug 16 2016, 11:21 AM) engine light on normally is o2 sensor fr normal car. For throttle body failure normally will cause car to stalk or die car feel no power I think it can be anything. Probably not total failure on throttle body. Sometimes when you want to accelerate, the car just hesitating and felt like misfiring. The earlier diagnostic shows irregularity on cylinder 2. It was found that the molded nut in the spark plug cover already lose and screw cannot lock properly and got that replaced since the problem stated to happen after they change spark plug. I told them that I doubt that would be the cause but yet still they need to replace the cover. Few days after that, the symptom occurred again and the second time they replace the throttle body because one of the technician in Kuantan experienced the same problem and was solved after replacing the throttle body. Been 3 days now and no serious jerk but I think the problem still not solve. There are many sensor and the engine light on can be anything from all these sensors. Now I need to just test it for this week.

QUOTE(TAN WENG @ Aug 16 2016, 11:46 AM) not many sensor compare to high end car . Our car shud have maybe 2-3 sensor like those airflow sensor ,oxygen sensor sometimes call O2 sensor another one i forgot . Last time my nissan very serious car die middle of nowhere withour warning .Find few mechanic cannot settle even nissan coud nt diagnose the problem after tat i send to another mechanic they change the airflow sensor car doesn t die until now. I suspect yr car engine light might be O2 sensor cause my friend viva also got same case . I check online then ask him change tat sensor then ok already . But still better check with perodua service centre as them check is it the sensor.this site might help explain https://www.angieslist.com/articles/why-did...-light-come.htmI'm not worry even if they said to change car since it is still under warranty. At first I thought they said need to change "Total Body"

QUOTE(-PuPu^ZaPruD3r- @ Aug 16 2016, 12:24 PM) Have u send in to SC for a check-up? Mine will engine jerk when cold start in the morning.. If I put full blast aircon and prepare to drive immediately.. Engine will die off.. So usually I wait for few seconds before moving.. Usually once the blue light goes off on the dashboard or it shows 51 Celsius onwards on my OBD Your car should not be like that even if the engine is still "cold". Mine I just drive immediately. Just don't rev the engine high. The light will normally go off around 100m or so. Keep at about 2000 rpm when engine s cold. Mine is checked by Perodua SC because it is still under warranty. They still figuring it out

QUOTE(johnngiew @ Aug 16 2016, 01:45 PM) voltage dropped? could it be the altenator? my previous car kelisa also has check engine light on when the throttle body sensor broken. the check engine light nowadays can be a lot of possibility especially most of our car's systems are running with electronics. It is not the alternator. The SC confirmed it. Just like computer, the error stated is not necessarily related to actual cause. With Axia drive by wire, most likely the signal sent ti throttle body is interrupted.

QUOTE(JuneResources @ Aug 19 2016, 02:27 PM) Hi guys, any recommended brand name of car battery (Dry battery) with better quality one? Based on my knowledge, some car battery brand name can tahan only 1 year ++ sikit then cannot use already. So any other brand name for car battery (dry battery) boleh tahan 2 years? Furthermore, now the tayar of Perodua Silverstone produce noisy during driving. Any recommended tayar brand name less noisy when driving on the road? If possible, pls let me know the type of tayar name so that I can easily dig some research. Any tire brand has softer and harder rubber. The soft series will sure reduce noise but it will has shorter life than the harder one Too soft also flex too much during cornering and if you are not used to it, it feel awkward and unsafe

QUOTE(JuneResources @ Aug 19 2016, 03:58 PM) Thanks for your suggestions. For Century battery, I found out there are 2 types of battery without water maintenance which are Ultramax NS60S and Continental NS60S. Eventually what are the differences between 2? What I know Continental battery is special design for Continental car. meaning that our Perodua car not suite for Continental battery? Then meaning that only 1 choose to chose Ultramax? (Sorry for my noob in car battery ) For michelin, still do some research.. The maintenance free battery is different from dry battery. I was wondering if you need dry battery. It would be expensive.

QUOTE(johnngiew @ Aug 25 2016, 07:12 PM) ic ic. i'm kinda get use to the noise already. i used to use yokohama bluearth tyres, very quite .. and actually it is a bit of save petrol also (not sure if its because of new tyres or placebo effect) btw, toyo and silverstone same company nowadays.. http://www.toyotires.com.my/page/index/identifier/historyYou should look for the the Rolling Resistance Coefficient (RRC). Nowadays, the Eco friendly is the talk subject. The obvious way to reduce rolling resistance is to reduce surface contact. Yes, the tire is quieter but it has negative impact on traction and braking distance. The only way to reduce tire noise is to turn the music loud

QUOTE(Roy5198 @ Aug 28 2016, 08:38 PM) Hi all Axian Sifus here, Just wanna seek sifus advice here if what i encountered a moment ago was just a normal occurrence or something seriously wrong. After I parked my Axia on a straight but uneven road surface, as usual I engaged "P" (mine is an Auto Transmission) before pulled my hand brake. But i noticed that between that miliseconds before I pulled my handbrake after "P" was engaged, my car rolled slight inches forward. Is this normal? I just got my Axia 2 weeks ago and current mileage oni 600km (hardly drive really). Is this a manufacturing defect or a norm for car to roll fwd/backwards a bit before come to a complete stop if handbrake not engaged? Any advice from sifus here are highly appreciated. ~Worried Soul~ P is for Parking but the gear itself is not a brake. Of course the car will not move but the slight movement is actually from the slack among gears. In engineering term it is called "backlash". Put your car in P at home and do not pull handbrake. Try to push the car back and forth. There will be slight movement but the car will not move beyond the gears backlash. [attachmentid=7419468]

QUOTE(jasonhanjk @ Aug 31 2016, 10:42 AM) Yesterday key alarm suddenly not able to unlock my car. After a few try I decide to use key open door, immediately insert key into key slot and on the engine. Alarm did sound for a second. Drive back home, try key alarm. Working again without flaw. Weird. Perhaps the battery in the remote was not in good contact. Just like your TV remote, sometimes need to open the battery cover and roll the battery in its slot and everything is good again. In car remote car, knocking the remote onto your hand palm solve the problem. Otherwise it is possible that the battery is not good. If the car battery is not good, you normally can lock and unlock it even if you cannot start the car because it takes more power from battery to start the engine than to unlock the car. Another possible cause is that the remote is not functioning properly like it was not tunes properly causing frequency shift or bad component causing intermittent failure.

QUOTE(Renzo Slade @ Sep 1 2016, 08:32 AM) Saw my Axia's battery, it's Panasonic brand. Is it a maintenance-free battery or need-to-refill-with-battery-fluid type? And usually, how long the car battery lasts? Any battery with with caps where you can open and refill the battery water is not maintenance free type. No matter what brand I just bought whichever one that are on sale and use them. Some can last around 1 year ++, some 2 years++ and some even 3 years++. Unfortunately I don't record the brands I normally use maintenance free battery. Too lazy to check water level. Just a bit more expensive but within 2 years, monthly cost is not significant for me

I suspect something in the boot is loose, but when i open my boot and shake it, no sound. Remove everything in your car booth and check if there is still sound. If it is, get it checked at SC. It's free anyway
