First time paying AEON CC with CIMB Cash Rebate, just want to make sure:

If I want to pay just enough to get 5% cashback (the rest pay using cash), I should pay RM 587.54 right? Because RM 587.54 + 2% with 6% GST (RM 12.46) = RM 600. And 5% of RM 600 is exactly RM 30. Correct?

Also, the actual rebate I'm getting is just RM 30 - RM 12.46 = RM 17.54 right? And it's actually only 2.92% cash rebate (I spent RM 600 and got back RM 17.54)?

Also, this is my first time paying for a credit card too. I only need to pay the full amount that appears on the statement right? Because I noticed that some of my recent transactions (1-2 days before the statement came out) don't appear on the statement. This means that they will appear on next month's statement, and I only need to pay them next month, correct?

I have not received my November e-Statement. It should have been released on the 10th of every month, no?

Yesterday I got a mail from JCMS ProRewards titled "AEON Credit Service (M) Berhad: Online Campaign - RM30 Petronas Gift Card". It says "Thank you for participating in the above campaign...". Included in the mail is a green Petronas Gift Card. I don't remember participating in any online campaign. But hey, free money!

Anyone got it as well?

Today I just received a free Philips coffee maker from JCMS Pro Rewards.

Few months ago when I just registered for AEON BiG card, I got an SMS for a promotion which said that if I spend 1k within a few months, I can get a one of 3 items listed for free, one of which is the Philips coffee maker (I forgot the other 2). I used the card to pay for all my bills and insurances, so it was easy to reach that spending. After that, I kept calling them to ask about the promotion, since the promotion is not listed on their website. About a month ago, I got a call from them saying that I'm eligible for the free gift, and she asked me to choose from one of the 3 items.

Anyone else got this promotion?

Maybe the just randomly select their customers to give this promotion. If I'm not mistaken, I got the SMS right after I got the card, before I managed to use the card.

The benefit is you don't have to pay interest. If you use a card which gives you cash back, has no annual fee, and you pay what you owe in full, then essentially the bank is paying you to use their card instead of you paying them. This may sound harsh, but if you're actually planning not to pay the statement balance in full every month, then maybe you shouldn't be using a credit card in the first place. It's a very bad idea. A little spending here and there, and one day you'll wake up to 4–5 digits credit card debt.

Yup, not enough info in the TnC. If I swipe RM250 on any transaction and I'm guaranteed to get RM25 cashback, then I'll use my AEON card to pay for PTPTN this month.

It seems like they made a mistake, and the 10% cash back promo shouldn't have been there in the first place.

It's not a joke. The T&C has already been released.

The questions are standard. If you call other banks, they will ask you the same kind of questions.
If you don't remember, ask the person to hold for a few minutes, login to your AEON Credit online account, find out the answer, and then tell the person the correct answer. It's not that difficult.
